The Network of Young Professionals (NET) exists to enrich the Lehigh Valley. The network fosters awareness of employment possibilities, welcomes new young professionals, supports community organizations, provides professional development opportunities, and engages in social networking.

The Network of Young Professionals (NET) was created in 2001 to help address an issue commonly known as brain drain. For years, many companies in the Lehigh Valley have found it difficult to recruit and retain young professionals. The NET exists to connect the people, places and experiences unique to the Lehigh Valley.

The NET enriches the Lehigh Valley by developing a vibrant quality of life, promoting community involvement, and fostering personal and professional growth. The network helps create awareness of employment possibilities, welcomes new young professionals, supports community organizations, provides professional development opportunities, and engages in social networking.

The NET hosts several social events, participates in community outreach programs and helps support not-for-profit groups. It has raised money to help fight disease, volunteered as coaches for kids' athletic teams, and collected canned goods for local food banks.

The NET also provides members with professional development. Seminars such as entrepreneur workshops have been a big success. NET participates in conferences to work with statewide government, business, and academic leaders to help keep young people in Pennsylvania.

Since its inception, membership and interest have steadily increased to include more than 900 members.
