Image copyright problem with Image:Mt L1600x1200.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Mt L1600x1200.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).
The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}
.
Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me, or ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. - CrazyRussian talk/email 21:27, 24 July 2006 (UTC)

Sure, feel free to steal! If you want, I can design a graphic for you, free of charge of course. Cheers, Master of Puppets Giant Enemy Crab! 04:44, 6 August 2006 (UTC)

OMG Thievery
I assume by "lil' twirling ball," you mean Image:Géode V 3 1 duale.gif. Yep, that's a cool picture. You could even steal my entire userpage - it is a wiki, after all! Happy editing, --Mr. Lefty Talk to me! 18:05, 10 August 2006 (UTC)
Dacrydium kirkii
Hi Legolost - just to let you know, this is now classified as Halocarpus kirkii (which is why you didn't find it listed at Dacrydium), so the page has moved. Thanks for starting the article, of course! - MPF 09:03, 11 August 2006 (UTC)

Trying to watch a slew of vandalism and spam go by at the moment, I'll fix it up for you a little later. In the meantime, I'm curious. Where'd you get that picture of the diamond that's in the background. Kevin_b_er 03:24, 15 August 2006 (UTC)

RE:Border
Ok, you've got a nice shiny red border now encircling your userpage; however, the userboxes use a format which doesn't play well with my border, so I'm gonna go dig up the old format book and see if there's anything I can do about that. If you wish, I could make you a show/hide userbox tab like the one I have. Cheers, Master of Puppets Giant Enemy Crab! 04:07, 15 August 2006 (UTC)
- That's most likely a browser issue. It displays fine for me. Master of Puppets Giant Enemy Crab! 04:22, 15 August 2006 (UTC)
Re: Sig
Hey, there. Well, to change your sig, go to your preferences, go to the box titled "Signature," and check the "raw signature" box. As for the code itself, you'd want to enter: [[User:Legolost|Lego@lost]] <small>[[User talk:Legolost|Evil, evil!]]</small>. Hope that helps! --Mr. Lefty Talk to me! 19:23, 16 August 2006 (UTC)
Halocarpus kirkii
Hi Lego - my inclination is to say something like "Hay-low-carp-us kirky-eye", but there's no really fixed pronunciation rules, either of your options would be understandable as well. What I don't like is the way some people put lots of 'h' sounds in their pronunciations, so they end up sounding like an asthmatic person dying of bronchitis. As long as you stay away from that, you should be OK! The 'halo-' part of the name refers to the shape of the aril surrounding the seed, like the halo on an angel. - MPF 19:57, 16 August 2006 (UTC)

Hello Lego, I have received your message. How do you upload an image? Moon&Nature 2:05, August 16 2006
Your preferences problem
Hmm...well, the only thing I can think to do would be to go to the "Skin" menu and make sure "monobook" is checked. Hope that works, otherwise, I don't know. --Mr. Lefty Talk to me! 16:47, 18 August 2006 (UTC)
- So you're still having that yellow background problem or whatever? And you're sure it doesn't have anything to do with skins? Maybe you could try clicking your desired skin again and purging your browser's cache (Ctrl + F5). If that doesn't work, I would recommend you go to Village pump (technical) and see if someone there can help. Hope your problem gets cleared up soon, --Mr. Lefty Talk to me! 05:27, 20 August 2006 (UTC)
- And you mentioned you "can't find your preferences"? You can just click on the "my preferences" link at the top of the screen and use the tabs on the preferences menu to browse. If that's not there, then that's really weird. --Mr. Lefty Talk to me! 05:30, 20 August 2006 (UTC)
Re:Format problem
User:Mr. Lefty above mentioned that you need to click on 'my preferences' at the top of your screen. However, in the Nostalgia skin, the preferences link does not exist.
Clicking here will automatically take you to your preferences page (note: you must be logged in as Legolost). Click once on the 'Skin' tab, select the 'MonoBook (default)' setting, click save, and then perform a CTRL+F5. You should be back in business!! — Super-Magician (talk • contribs • count) ★ 14:59, 20 August 2006 (UTC)

Re: Userpage
Mrlefty actually does exist (though he's not very active). The red link just means he doesn't have a userpage. He has a talk page, contribs, and all that. Hope I cleared that up for you. --Mr. Lefty Talk to me! 20:56, 24 August 2006 (UTC)
Teke's RfA thanks
Thank you for your support of my RfA, which has passed with a final tally of 76/1/1. With this overwhelming show of support and approval I am honored to serve Wikipedia in the task charged to me and as outlined in my nomination. Happy editing to you! Teke(talk) 17:38, 28 August 2006 (UTC)
- Well, my monobook already doubled the tabs I have at the top of the page. All the tools are is two extra tabs on every page (delete and protect), and the "block user" in the toolbox is functional. Each page is similar to the fields for move: reasons etc. Um...on a deleted page, you can view the history of the page. Tabs for restoration, etc. It's advanced maintenance stuff that will take a lot of practice to get the hang of, and already takes a lot of system operation process knowledge, hince "sysop." While the tabs are simple, application of course is much more complex. Thanks for asking, contact me anytime I can be of assistance! Teke(talk) 05:00, 29 August 2006 (UTC)

Pluto's protectedness
Pluto is not protected from being edited, it is protected from being moved. (There is a heated controversy over it at the moment). McKay 05:46, 10 September 2006 (UTC)
RE: Archiving
Yes, I do use that procedure. When you cut or copy something, your operating system places it in a bit of memory known as the clipboard where it stays until something else is coped. When you paste, whatever is on your clipboard is output to wherever your cursor is, usually. This is a simplified explanation because I don't really understand it, but Clipboard (software) looks pretty good. Hope I've helped you. —Xyrael / 09:33, 10 September 2006 (UTC)

Wellington v Stanley
You are accurate about Stanley being the southernmost capital but Wellington is the southernmost capital city and I will make that distinction. If you like dealing with comparatives, what about - Whitby has a better climate than Tawa! Tiles 07:57, 12 September 2006 (UTC)

Re: Status Changer
- 1. Create a User:Legolost/Status page.
- 2. Go to User:Legolost/monobook.js and insert this code;
inc("User:Topaz/init.js"); inc("User:Topaz/util.js"); inc("User:Topaz/editcountutil.js"); inc("User:Topaz/comm.js"); inc("User:Topaz/wputil.js"); inc("User:Legolost/statuschanger.js");;
- 3. Create User:Legolost/statuschanger.js and insert all of the code on this page into your statuschanger.js page.
- 4. Hit the corresponding key: Mozilla/Safari: hold down Shift while clicking Reload (or press Ctrl-Shift-R), IE: press Ctrl-F5, Opera/Konqueror: press F5. This hard-refreshes the browser.
- 5. Now, wherever you add the User:Legolost/Status link, your status will appear; just click the related status and it will appear wherever you have your status link inserted.
If you experience any problems, feel free to tell me and I'll see where I can help.
Also, about the image; really sorry about it, I've been a bit busy in the last while. My level of editing on the very Wiki has declined a lot. I'll try to get it done soon. Cheers, Master of Puppets The Walrus! 22:02, 13 September 2006 (UTC)
- Urgh, I'm so stupid. {{User:Legolost/Status}} is what I meant, only apparently didn't say. Sorry! Though it looks like there's some trouble in the code; I have to go to school now, but I'll fix it somewhere in the near, near future. Cheers, Master of Puppets The Walrus! 12:26, 14 September 2006 (UTC)
Archive question
The clipboard is the just space in computer-land where the copied/cut text is temporarily stored. The contents of the clipboard are displayed when you paste. However, I don't use the cut and paste method - what I do is I move my talk page to User talk:Mr. Lefty/Archive #, and then edit the resulting redirect so people can leave messages on that. You can use the cut-and-paste if you want, though. Hope that helps! --Mr. Lefty Talk to me! 21:45, 14 September 2006 (UTC)

Lupin's tool
I can't install it for you, unfortunately, but you can follow this link, and put these two things on it: {{subst:js|User:Lupin/recent2.js}} and {{subst:navpop}}.
That should give you popups and a recent changes-filtering tool. Good to see you vandal fighting! --Mr. Lefty Talk to me! 18:48, 15 September 2006 (UTC)
