Lego Batman
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
LEGO Batman is a theme of LEGO building sets based on the comics, films, and cartoons featuring the DC Comics superhero, Batman.
Currently into its second wave, the sets feature vehicles, characters and scenes based on their standard accepted appearances in the comics. Most major villains and a few heroes such as Nightwing, Robin (presumably Tim Drake) and Alfred have made their appearances in the sets so far, usually paired with vehicles such as Joker's helicopter, the Penguin's submarine, Scarecrow's biplane and Killer Croc's speedboat.
Batman is given a wide range of vehicles, their appearances pretty much resembling their more accepted forms. A new vehicle, in the form of the "Batman Dragster", has also been introduced. The Batmobile appears similar to the way it does in the 1989 film, while the Batboat takes on a hovercraft-like form. All the set-boxes feature a comic strip by artist Greg Hyland at the back, featuring stylised versions of the set in action.
Lego has obtained the license to produce sets based on all available mediums in which Batman appears, and will most probably produce sets based on the 2008 film The Dark Knight and subsequent films in future waves.

[edit] Notable Batman Lego in the Media
The first Batman LEGO Fan Film to hit the internet circuit was the 2003 fan film production Batman: Revenge (The Batman LEGO Film), although it did not utilize any of the official products as it was created nearly three years before the official line was released. Official films include the Cartoon Network Lego movie to promote their lego line, as well as several shorter videos for the same promotions, which can be viewed at Lego's official Batman website listed below. Students of the digital animation institution DAVE School created a CGI animated fan-film entitled Batman: New Times in the style of Minimates, but with Lego bricks comprising the backgrounds. There is also a gaining popularity among directors to make Batman LEGO Fan Films since the release of the official product line.ADI.Studios maybe doing a new Lego Batman movie.
