[edit] Anchored Cross (band)

Hi. You very appropriately deleted this article[1] a few hours ago.

I created a subpage for the musician who created it:

If it's possible, technically, and if you don't mind, could you resurrect the text and stick it on that user subpage? Thanks, --A. B. (talk) 14:00, 18 January 2007 (UTC)

Never mind -- looks like it's since been taken care of. --A. B. (talk) 16:03, 18 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Rubber dam deletion

Hello, you rightfully deleted the Rubber dam article, as it was 100% Bridgestone text. The editor who worked on this article, who is suspected of being a Bridgestone employee or having an improper COI with the company is now insinuating that she never edited that article. The deletion erased the history. Do you have access to it? If so, could you weigh in on this case, and attest to how the article went from one line of text about generic 'rubber dams' to a full blown Bridgestone written PR piece, through the multiple edits of user Mobile01? [edit] Anton Frederik Winter Jakhelln Prytz

Hi, I see you de-speedy-tagged this article; it's usually nice to see a reason in the edit summary or on the talk page - I assume you did not agree with the criteria?-Dmz5*Edits**Talk* 09:29, 1 February 2007 (UTC)

I didn't speedy the article because he is not notable, I did it because the article was extremely short and lacking context (what is "NS", what is a minister, minister of what, was he just somebody's secretary, etc.) I normally don't try to prod or AfD anything that might be "historical", but this case seemed appropriate. But no worries if you disagree, perhaps I will AfD, or at least ask someone to de-stubbify it. As for languages, of course if you're French or Swiss etc. you probably speak a number of languages, and of course some people do have working knowledge of many languages; but I am generally skeptical of people who advance tremendous claims of anything, and the language thing is just one very visible manifestation of this on wikipedia because of those userboxes. When I see someone who claims to speak not just French, German, etc, but Russian, Arabic, Farsi, Gaelic, Greek, Hebrew, and so on, it sometimes makes me wonder if they haven't just visited a country, learned a few handy phrases, and called it a "working knowledge." -Dmz5*Edits**Talk* 16:23, 1 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Asper Biotech

Please advise how can one reword the article (which you deleted) to comply with A7 and G11 standards. Perhaps you could forward me a link to an article about a (medium-size biotech) company that in your opinion definitely does. Regards, --Klamber 07:42, 3 February 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for posting it up. "...the Middle East's largest mixed-use development" strikes me as an assertion of notability. Why did you delete my brand new article on The Hermit Crabs. The article was still being edited. A rare new band on an important label? It already had several internal and external references and links, a discography and a history of the band and their current lineup and links. This kind of thing is not very constructive. I have been a user for about an hour and a half now and was building this entry based on the same info in other articles. the article was still being edited and was less than an hour old Indiewiki 12:06, 15 February 2007 (UTC)

Oh I didn't mean you implied anything wrong, what I was saying is that since most valdals I've come across since I started RC patrols are just kids tryin' to be smartmouths, they wouldn't hurt my user page that much, but you never know... I heard some pretty scary stories about some banned users' sockpuppets who can do real damage 'round here. Your proposal can come handy if I ever come across one of those :-)

I noticed that you deleted Category:Serbian language films. There seems to be some dispute about that category and also Category:Croatian language films. They have been marked with {{db-self}} several times by SISLEY (talk contribs) over the objections of another editor, even though he is not the original author. This category should probably not have been speedy deleted because of the dispute and instead taken to WP:CFD, as I've mentioned to SISLEY. Perhaps it should be undeleted. [edit] Cellfire

I do not belive Cellfire qualified for speedy deletion. Under the G11 reason give it says that if the page was previously up for deletion but after disucssion, kept, it does not qualify under G11. A prod was placed and later removed two weeks ago. If you want propose deletion and discuss it, that will be fine but I also do not belive it qualified under G11 as blatent advertising. [edit] Deletion of Serverpronto

I am trying to add a subject for my firm similar to:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Everyones_Internet http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Verio http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joi_Internet

You deleted "Serverpronto" because of G11, "blatant advetising". I do disagree with this, and attempted to make it as objective as possible. I gave what I thought was an objective description of the company, referenced articles from industry web sites, and provided links to the relevant external web sites.

Can you please provide feedback as to what part of the listing you felt was "blatant advertising", and let me know how I can create a topic which conforms to the Wiki standards.

[edit] Deletion of EasyFit

I have added an article very similar to the following ones:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/EViews
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Systat

You have deleted "EasyFit" because of G11. I do not agree with this. Can you please let me know why you treated this article as a "blatant advertising"? The G11 criterion contains the following phrase:

"Note that simply having a company, product, group, service, or person as its subject does not qualify an article for this criterion; an article that is blatant advertising should have inappropriate content as well."

The article I created had a product called EasyFit as its subject. What inappropriate content did it contain?

Hi there. Can you please explain your reasons for deleting the Court Jesters article. I can't view the text to wholly remember the quality of it, but I recall there were a number of details that were not referenced. However it can be tidied up. I believe the subject is certainly notable, and I was not aware of a proposal for deletion (five days is much too short a length of time to reply to a proposal I believe, but that's a different matter entirely). [edit] ServSafe

You recently deleted an article on Wikipedia entitled "ServSafe", a mandatory certification issued to managers and owners in many different restaurants, taverns, and entertainment venues. The license is critical in many occupations and it is impossible to qualify, as an example, for McDonald's management without it. The article was written or can be written so as to not endorse any company, product, or service. If you could see fit to undelete the article, it will be added to the Wikipedia:WikiProject Foodservice and be expanded by the contributors of this project. Witbcoedus 02:33, 31 March 2007 (UTC)
