This article has been moved on a number of occasions to "Lebanese pound", probably due to this erroneous name appearing in ISO 4217. There has never been a coin or bank note issued by Lebanon bearing the word "pound" and the article should not, therefore, be moved there.

Following a discussion on talk page, this article has been moved to Lebanese lira. I've made some corrections to the initial version and I've taken the opportunity to expand the article somewhat. If wikipedians take a dislike to the move, let me know and I'll move it back whilst keeping the additions that I've made. I'm not fussed either way, just as long as we stear clear of pound.
