Am going to remove brackets from around [fetishistic], because that page is simply a redirect to Fetishism which starts:

Fetishism most generally refers to the belief that natural objects have supernatural powers, or that something created by people has power over people. The concept was coined by Charles de Brosses in 1757 and was originally used in the 18th century by French and German scholars to characterize the earliest stages in the evolution of religion.

and goes on to mention nothing about sexual fetish. BDSM leather subcultures are often are concerned with power, its unlikely that supernatural powers are involved.  ;-0 "Stop I really mean it" Two16
