I have combined and/or removed much of the material about the Whyte and UIC systems of wheel and axle notation, since a lot of it was repeated and the detailed accounts are, in any case, better dealt with in the respective articles (which are linked to from here). -- Picapica 11:53, 17 August 2006 (UTC)
