Leandro Luiz de Oliveira (born November 30, 1982 in São Paulo, Brazil) is an Brazilian soccer player.
Although born in Brazil, Leandro grew up in Bryan, Texas. He began his collegiate soccer career at the University of Connecticut in 2002. In his one season at UConn he played in 22 games scoring 3 goals and 7 assists. Before the 2003 season he transferred to the University of Alabama, Birmingham where he would finish he college years. In 49 games for UAB he amassed 13 goals and 19 assists.
Despite a recent injury, he was selected in the first round, 11th overall in the 2006 MLS SuperDraft by the New England Revolution. He remained injured during the first half of the 2006 season and was waived on June 29, 2006. [1]
