Leah Charles

Leah Charles (born October 1979) is a British television presenter, formerly on children's programmes who is now one of the regulars on Big Game TV.
Winner of Screen Nations Best Kids and Youth Presenter 2004, Leah Charles is currently a presenter for BIG GAME TV on Sky Channel 849. Before that she was also a stable part of the main presenting team on the Disney Channel.
Leah is involved in doing celebrity interviews, music reports and general links. Having been the first black female and main presenter on CITV (in its 20 year history) and The White Knuckle Tour Summer Road shows, she has a huge amount of live experience, including interviewing bands and TV stars. Her most recent programme Lan Jam, a computer gaming show, was a great success. Leah is just as at home on radio and has presented on French Connections Radio Station FCUK FM.
Leah has also appeared as a reporter on Record of the Year and Junior Eurovision for ITV1. She has also appeared on Liquid News giving her views on the latest topical issues and showbiz stories. She was previously working with Sky Digital on Whereits.at.
Previously she has had 10 years of music industry experience and was in RnB pop band Kleshay for ten years, enjoying regular chart success including top 20 hits, UK tours and 2 popular music videos. She appeared with the band and was interviewed on a variety of programmes ranging from MTV, CD:UK, T4 to The Big Breakfast, This Morning and London Today.
She has been featured regularly in OK! Magazine, Smash Hits, ES Magazine and New Nation, she also took part in extensive radio tours for Kiss, Choice, Capital and Radio One and has also supported and been a backing vocalist for Lionel Ritchie and George Michael. Leah has much experience in all different media.
At a young age, Leah trained at the Sylvia Young Stage School part-time and Westminster College Media and Performing Arts, Entertainment, music and dance are her passions, she is also a keen traveller.
In september 2005 she launched "Women With a Purpose" inconjuction with the Faith Tabernacle which is a charity organisation aimed solely AT women and FOR women of all nationalities and religions. "WWP" was set up to empower, inspire and to faciltitate women across the UK to be all they can be- and since its launch in september 2005 the response has been phenomenal.
Leah has recently returned from New York where she has been filimg her very own music show for the major american music network BET (Black Entertainment Television) which is a part of the MTV/Viacom group. Whilst there, Leah hosted 12 shows having intimate chats and live performances with established, legendary artists and up and coming musicians including Teena Marie, Freddie Jackson and mobo award winner Corrine Bailey-Rae. The shows are currently airing at 12.30pm and 7.30pm (EST) every monday in america and the caribbean on the BETJ channel.
Leah is a very down to earth, bubbly and engaging individual, a natural destined for TV stardom!
