League Reports Network
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The 'League Reports Network'is a unique editorial resource, created in 2001, that draws together the talents of over 150 sports journalists to provide content for a range of media, both through press and online.
Touted as the first of its kind in the UK, it remains unique in allowing contributing writers (be they in the United Kingdom or across the world) to recommend their own work for publication across a range of media such as Sky Sports, BBC Online, Express Newspapers, not to mention a number of regional outlets. This is, as opposed to simply commissioning out work to available freelancers.
The League Reports Network was set up by James Evans and although primarily based in London, also has communicative UK outlets in both Derby and Newcastle.
Its aim is to break down the barriers of sports journalism and create opportunities for enthusiastic writers who are looking to express their talents, even if they have the confines of alternative full-time employment.
