Leading Company

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Leading Company is a Japanese-only Super Famicom video game that challenges young people to create their own empire by researching and marketing better VHS machines for the Japanese consumers. The entire game is in Japanese and no-one has created an English patch for the game yet. Literacy skills in Japanese is mandatory as only name brands are in English. There are two time periods in the game. You can either start in the year 1970 when VHS tape players were a new invention or in the year 1980 during the Golden Age of VHS.

Instead of following a budget, you have to follow stock market quotes. Try to keep them going up. If they go down to zero or less, you lose. Also, each product you manufacture has a separate profit chart. When an older model goes down in profits, research and manufacture a newer one (don't forget to discontinue the older one first) and make more money from willing Japanese customers.
