Le roi d'Ys

Le roi d'Ys (The King of Ys) is an opera by the French composer Edouard Lalo, first peformed at the Opéra Comique, Paris on 7 May 1888. The libretto, by Edouard Blau, is based on the Breton legend of the drowned kingdom of Ys. The most famous number in the opera is the aubade in Act Three.
