Le Prince

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

"Le Prince" is a "horse musical" produced by Swiss producer Dieter Speidel (Avenches www.avenches.ch and Zug). The music is by Mike Turtle (London & Basel). It was first performed in 2001 at Equitana, the worlds largest horse fair which is held every second year in Essen, Germany. Since then it has played over 100 times. It tells the story of Louis Henri de Bourbon, the 7th Prince of Condé, (Chantilly 1692 - 1740) who in this production believed he would be horse in his next life and therefore had stables for over 300 horses built by Jean Aubert at the Château de Chantilly. These stables, now called 'Les Grandes Écuries' serve today for the Musée Vivant de Cheval. After a new casting the horsemusical "Le Prince" will start to play again in 2007 at BEA HORSE GALA (Berne-Switzerland, where it will be presented by IL TÉÂTRO ÉQUESTRE (www.horsemusical.com). Le Prince is now casting for the next production. More information are available here: www.horsemusical.com After that the production plans to tour with "Le Prince" and more productions which are planned in the future.
