[edit] Baxter template
Hi, I've just updated the baxter template with a more compact format. It's just a suggestion, feel free to modify it, or even revert it if you wish. I just copied your data across into the more compact table unmodified... but IMO, it needs a few things removing: the "year in literature" links, the books that haven't been published yet, and the footnotes within the templates. - Motor (talk) 20:59, 23 April 2006 (UTC)
- I moved your question from my talk page onto Template talk:Baxter and replied there. - Motor (talk) 19:00, 27 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Sure this is incorrect sub-stub
Hi! Not to nit-pick but this change is very problematic, with respect to clasification of this topic. Most posts on the AfD page want to delete it because it's seen as more psuedo-science, especially among the younger members of our community. They of course are more reliant on training than training leavened with experience.
- My point (afd) is the 'research' is cross-discipline and historically relevant so it makes sense to have some article, but I wouldn't agree it's science.
- Statistics, and thus perhaps math would be more appropriate; as well as Economics and Biology to lesser extents. But this is certainly NOT a science as there can be no hypothesis-expermentation-revision cycle, so most generally it is in the same state as so called social sciences. Economics does have 'cycle theory' adherents. Shrug.
- In sum, being cross-disciplinary and primarily observing things in a numerical way, I think they are just piling up coincidences and grasping at straws. OTOH, they've been doing so world wide since 1941. It just doesn't fit a neat categorization as it's too outrè for standard acedemic values to embrace, yet, if ever. This puts it outside neat categories. You may want to revert to just 'stub' with an inline note that it's outside the normal system. Or perhaps you need a sub-stub for offbeat stuff like this.
- Just to save time, I'll change this to math, but if there is a 'uncategorized' sub-stub, that should be substituted.
Best wishes, FrankB 18:46, 28 April 2006 (UTC)

SuggestBot predicts that you will enjoy editing some of these articles. Have fun!
SuggestBot picks articles in a number of ways based on other articles you've edited, including straight text similarity, following wikilinks, and matching your editing patterns against those of other Wikipedians. It tries to recommend only articles that other Wikipedians have marked as needing work. Your contributions make Wikipedia better -- thanks for helping.
If you have feedback on how to make SuggestBot better, please tell me on SuggestBot's talk page. Thanks from ForteTuba, SuggestBot's caretaker.
P.S. You received these suggestions because your name was listed on the SuggestBot request page. If this was in error, sorry about the confusion. -- SuggestBot 15:09, 29 April 2006 (UTC)
[edit] FYI
you marked your addition of your Rfa as minor, which may be misleading to editors watching the page for only non-minor edits. Only mark an edit minor if it's a grammar, format, or spelling correction.--The ikiroid (talk)(Help Me Improve) 15:52, 29 April 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Your RfA
Hello, Lcarsdata! I noticed your RfA. I looked through your edits, and I see you've made a good start on Wikipedia, and your determination to help out is really great. However, frankly I'm afraid I think it's rather difficult for your RfA to succeed at the moment. Standards are really high, and many people usually look for editors with more than 1000 edits, three or fourth months' active experience, and a lot of evidence of interacting with other users. (See this page). I'm not forcing you, or asking you even, to retract your RfA - it's just that I think people will have a better feeling about you if you're not too intent on getting adminship. You can delete my message if you want - it's up to you. Just some friendly advice :) Cheers, Tangotango 16:22, 29 April 2006 (UTC)
- Yeah, I happen to agree with Tangotango. Please do not take my "strong oppose" the wrong way; it has no reflection on your ability as an editor of Wikipedia, and we could use more great editors like you. However, I do not beleive you have enough experience to become an admin. Also, if you're just looking for an easy way to rollback changes, try navigation popups. --Mets501talk 18:04, 29 April 2006 (UTC)
- I agree that your RFA will not be successful. I was looking at the statistics the other day and I if I remember correctly, nobody with less than 1400 edits has been given sysop in 2006. I think that your chance of getting it next time will be improved if you stop this one soon. Or course, this is your choice. You need to do what you think is best.
-
-
- I agree with the comments above. You seem like a good new editor and I'd hate to see you disappointed in a failed RfA vote and lose some enthusiasm for the project. I'd suggest you withdraw, hang around for a few more months and see how things work, particularly in the Wikipedia: namespace. In any case, do what you would, this is just friendly advice. --Deville (Talk) 21:28, 29 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] License tagging for Image:Ockbrook map.png
Thanks for uploading Image:Ockbrook map.png. Wikipedia gets hundreds of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 17:05, 29 April 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Adminship

Sorry your RfA is going to fail; that really sucks. Keep working at it, though! All the opposes in there are edit count-related, and that's a positive. All it takes is more time. Don't be discouraged! Adminship isn't all it's cracked up to be, believe me. In fact, it's just a couple extra mops and buckets that people yell at you for using in any but a certain prescribed fashion, and even then, random assholes end up slipping on your freshly mopped floor, landing on their ass, and yelling at you for it. So yeah, adminship is no picnic. :-P Keep at it! Here's an Emperor Joshua A. Norton ten dollar note for your trouble. —BorgHunter ubx (talk) 03:23, 30 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] VandalProof 1.2 Now Available
After a lenghty, but much-needed Wikibreak, I'm happy to announce that version 1.2 of VandalProof is now available for download! Beyond fixing some of the most obnoxious bugs, like the persistent crash on start-up that many have experienced, version 1.2 also offers a wide variety of new features, including a stub-sorter, a global user whitelist and blacklist, navigational controls, and greater customization. You can find a full list of the new features here. While I believe this release to be a significant improvement over the last, it's nonetheless nowhere near the end of the line for VandalProof. Thanks to Rob Church, I now have an account on test.wikipedia.org with SysOp rights and have already been hard at work incorporating administrative tools into VandalProof, which I plan to make available in the near future. An example of one such SysOp tool that I'm working on incorporating is my simple history merge tool, which simplifies the process of performing history merges from one article into another. Anyway, if you haven't already, I'd encourage you to download and install version 1.2 and take it out for a test-drive. As always, your suggestions for improvement are always appreciated, and I hope that you will find this new version useful. Happy editing! --AmiDaniel (talk) 02:51, 21 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] A request
I like the idea of an "alarm". It would prove useful should any of those links indeed become blue.
I like the idea a lot, and I want to use it for my userspace. However, I thought I should ask you first.
So: may I use the alarm idea for my userspace? =) I could do it all myself if you approve (I even have my own ideas for modification). Thanks in advance! Kalani [talk] 19:04, 21 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] First Post
Lcarsdata,
I appriciate the comments in reference to Anasarca (band), however you reccomended citing resources. That's what I was attempting to do by listing the external links and linking to them throughout the article, note the [1] [2] and [3]. Is there a different format I should be using? Reviewing the link you gave me to citing resources it seems like I should be further detailing the sources in not External Links, but in a Resources heading, but from the resources link you provided it seems like it's a 50/50 formatting decision to use the links as I did within the article, or to use footnotes. Still was unable to find exactly how to code the footnotes (the ones that take you to the resource at the bottom of the page, and back up to where you were reading). If you could point me to an article on exactly how to format these I could change that - but the actual formatting of the sources at the bottom: Author, Accessed date, Title, Pages, etc : is still confusing to me. Should I leave this to another wikipedian to clean up? I would like to learn but there are 1,000,000 articles on style and formatting, and it's hard to navigate between them and find them all.
Again, I appriciate the comments!
--Keitaro 07:56, 12 July 2006 (UTC)
- The way you have done it seems to work fine, you are right, their are hundreds of pages about style and formatting. But don't be afraid, your way works fine and while you get used to Wikipedia just keep doing that. If someone doesn't like it they can change it to how they want it. Hi, I've asked Ardric to elaborate/reconsider his reasoning, and to confer with you, re: his keep votes at the CP-cleanup MfDs. He's put a comment at the end of Wikipedia talk:Community Portal#Orphaned subpage. I'll leave you to work it out with him. -Quiddity 18:53, 23 July 2006 (UTC)
Re: the last 3 CP-related redirects for deletion, see User talk:BigNate37#RfD for his reasoning behind the keep vote. (which make sense to me. Just fyi, so you can keep track of whats going on :) -Quiddity 05:49, 25 July 2006 (UTC)
hey again :)
The set of pages labeled "See collaborations" in your sandbox, that you've tagged as historical, would be better deleted, as they are all contained in the draft at Wikipedia:Community Portal/Redesign/Draft1a, or are superceded by Wikipedia:Department directory. The fragmentation into subpages was utterly unnecessary. After they get deleted, the redirects to them could all be "speedy deleted as housekeeping" (which was bignate37's objection to the prior RfDs).
- I have ajusted the ones that should be deleted to say delete, could you check to make sure they all need to be. If so I leave me a message and I will nominate them all at WP:MFD. Lcarsdata (Talk) 15:23, 29 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Template for places in Bedfordshire
Hi - I created a version of the template, currently at Template:Places in Bedfordshire/small. When placed in an article about one of the towns it shows a set of 5 towns/villages alphabetically, with ">>" and "<<" links to get to a town/village 5 away (you can also specify the "centered" place as an argument). Some examples:
Ampthill:
|
---|
|
Arlesey:
|
---|
|
Aspley Guise:
|
---|
|
Astwick:
|
---|
|
Little Barford:
|
---|
|
Yelden:
|
---|
|
Let me know what you think. If you'd prefer 7 instead of 5 or any other sort of change, just let me know (I wrote a little program to create the template, and I suspect I can pretty easily change it to accommodate nearly anything you'd like). -- Rick Block (talk) 02:44, 5 September 2006 (UTC)
- In case it's not clear, all of the above are from a single template, which I've now copied into template:Places in Bedfordshire. If you add {{Places in Bedfordshire}} to one of the articles about the places in Bedfordshire the template will look like one of the ones above (try it - I think you'll like it). If you have any problems with it please let me know. -- Rick Block (talk) 16:59, 5 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Sidebar redesign final vote!
It's that special, special time! No, grandma's not coming over. No, not time to clean out the fridge. It's sidebar redesign voting time! Yes, the community has narrowed it down to 3 different options, and a vote for the same old original sidebar is a choice one could vote for as well. Voting for multiple options is allowed, and discussion on the whole shebang is right there on the vote page itself.
You're probably getting this message because the sidebar fairy (JoeSmack for now) noticed you commented on the project at some time over on at Wikipedia talk:Village pump (proposals)/Sidebar redesign. Lovely. JoeSmack Talk 06:27, 15 September 2006 (UTC)

- I used an awk script to generate it (which I think could be turned into a Perl script pretty easily), which I'd be happy to let you have. If you're not a programmer it might be easiest just to let me know what's wrong and I'll fix it. -- Rick Block (talk) 15:08, 16 September 2006 (UTC)
- I don't have the ability to install any of the software required to use programs like that so I can't do that. Anyway the only changes that need to be done that I have found so far are "Bedford, Bedfordshire" to " Bedford" and "Billington" to "Billington, Bedfordshire", I haven't put it on all the articles yet so some more may appear. Thanks. Lcarsdata (Talk) 17:27, 18 September 2006 (UTC)
- I've made these changes (and fixed Barton-le-Clay as well). If you notice any other problems, please just let me know. I suspect you can make changes like this fairly easily (edit the template, copy the whole thing, paste it into some program where you can do global edits, and then paste it back). Adding a new town in the list would be much more difficult. It's trivial for me to make global edits, so if you want to ask me to do these as well it's absolutely no problem. -- Rick Block (talk) 19:01, 18 September 2006 (UTC)
- You might usefully create similar templates for other counties, which would replace current articles such as list of villages in Worcestershire. However you applied your template to an article on Wilden (Worcs.). I presume this was unintentional vandalism: please see its talk page. Peterkingiron 15:51, 23 September 2006 (UTC)

Hi, can you help me with the Template:OTA ? to something like nl:Template:ERA, so dat you only see the header, i made a try but it didn't work. Thanks. Mion 08:00, 23 September 2006 (UTC)
Thanks Lcarsdata, but the template is still showing in its expanded version, how can i change it to its other state (hide). ? reg. Mion 12:06, 23 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] My comment
In regard to a previous comment that you have (I think) removed, I believe I referred to what you had done as 'probably unintentional'. As that was the case, the word that I used was perhaps too strong. Perhaps you could indicate that the correct word should ahve been. Peterkingiron 15:39, 24 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Welcome to Esperanza!
Welcome, Lcarsdata, to Esperanza! As you might know, all the Esperanzians share one important goal: the success of this encyclopedia. Within that, we then attempt to strengthen the community bonds, and be the "approachable" side of the project. All of our ideals are held in the Charter, the governing document of the association.
Now that you are a member you should read the guide to what to do now or you may be interested in some of our programs. A quite important program is Stressbusters, which seeks to support editors who have encountered any stress from their Wikipedia events, and are seeking to leave the project. So far, Esperanza can be credited with the support and retention of several users. We will send you newsletters to keep you up to date. Also, we have a calendar of special events, member birthdays, and other holidays that you can add to and follow.
In addition to these projects, several more missions of Esperanza are in development, and are currently being created at Esperanza/Proposals.
If you have any other questions, concerns, comments, or general ideas, Esperanzian or otherwise, know that you can always contact Natalya by email or talk page. Consider introducing yourself at the Esperanza talk page! Alternatively, you could communicate with fellow users via our IRC channel, #wikipedia-esperanza (which is also good for a fun chat or two :). If you're new to IRC, you may find help at an IRC tutorial. I thank you for joining Esperanza, and look forward to working with you in making Wikipedia a better place to work!

[edit] Adding Clipstone to template
Hi - My main computer has an issue at the moment, so it might be a day or two before I can get to updating template:Places in Bedfordshire to include Clipstone, Bedfordshire. I may be able to do it from the other computer I'm using (today). In any event, I will do it within a few days. -- Rick Block (talk) 15:52, 8 October 2006 (UTC)
- I've added Clipstone (and fixed Haynes), and added the script source as well. If you generally use a Windows machine, you can run the script yourself by first downloading the Cygwin Unix emulation package. BTW - I noticed Great Billington redirects to Billington, Bedfordshire, so if you're stepping through the towns using the template you go from Great Barford back to Billington. Seems like you might want to take Great Billington out of the template (which would be trivial using the script). If you don't have the expertise (or motivation) to install Cygwin and want to make this or any other change, please just let me know (it's really no problem at all). -- Rick Block (talk) 17:47, 8 October 2006 (UTC)
-
- Just to clarify - I don't mean to be pushing you to run the script yourself. If you're interested and want to figure out how to run it, that's great. If not, it really is absolutely no problem at all for me to run it for you. -- Rick Block (talk) 18:11, 8 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Marsh Farm
I saw your message about removing Marsh Farm from the list of places in Bedfordshire on the basis that its not a town or village. However it is quite clearly a place, and as such should be included in a list of places surely? 135.196.5.210, 9 October 2006
I have created Luton#Places within Luton as an alternative to List of places in Bedfordshire. If you know how to set up templates and infoboxes, do you think you could create something suitable to put in the articles listed there. JonH 10:33, 10 October 2006 (UTC)
- I like that idea, however I will not be able to create the template, which is formed by a special program, until I get the program working Lcarsdata (Talk) 15:35, 10 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Map references re England info box
How do you get the correct O/S map ref for the info box ie see Clophill. thanksGazMan7 12:51, 11 October 2006 (UTC)
- To find the OS map ref visit http://getamap.ordnancesurvey.co.uk/getamap/frames.htm and type in the name, the ref will be at the bottom of the page.
- The easiest way to get the coordinates is to download and run Google Earth, then type in a town or village name. When it goes there move your mouse out of the map view, the coordinates will be in the bottom left hand corner. Lcarsdata (Talk) 15:26, 11 October 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for applying to use VandalSniper! You have been approved. If have not already done so, you may find instructions to install VS on the project page.

[edit] Scrollable template
Hi - I started a conversation about "virtually scrollable" templates, like the current version of template:places in Bedfordshire at Wikipedia talk:Navigational templates#Compressed templates. Based on feedback there, I've found a way to make the template actually scrollable (rather than only "virtually scrollable"). As the consumer of one of these templates, I thought you might be interested in commenting on this thread. -- Rick Block (talk) 17:27, 14 October 2006 (UTC)
- Can you check out the new template:Places in Bedfordshire? I think I converted it correctly, but it wouldn't hurt to have somebody else check to make sure all the places are still there. -- Rick Block (talk) 18:21, 15 October 2006 (UTC)
The template appears to have gone slightly strange, now just a huge list of all the places. (see Clophill for example).GazMan7 13:09, 16 October 2006 (UTC) Updated - seems to be working better now as there is a slide barGazMan7 15:04, 16 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Bedfordshire template
Hi again - I've made some changes to template:Navigation bar (now used by template:Places in Bedfordshire). As far as I know, the current version works for all browsers and presents no particular difficulties for users of screen readers (such as JAWS). I know you've tried some things to position the scrollbar at the current article. I don't believe this is possible, but if you've found something please let me know. Even if this can't be done, are you OK with this version? Thanks. -- Rick Block (talk) 01:18, 23 October 2006 (UTC)
- I prefer the new version, it offers a smaller version of the template I originally created, tanks for your hard work. Lcarsdata (Talk) 18:57, 23 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Article advice
I noticed you asked for advice concerning article writing at the admin coaching bit of Esperanza. I thought I might oblige with one or two pointers. I've written a couple of GAs myself here and here (both close collaborations), with another one in the pipeline here. I haven't written an FA yet, though I've worked on cleaning up two articles to prepare them for FA status, at peer review stage and before (Concerto delle donne and W.S. Gilbert, which come to think of it isn't actually an FA yet, though it will be in a couple of days). You've been around for a while (hell, longer than I have), but I'd forget about FA for a bit and concentrate on GA, largely because getting FA is a lot like having your teeth pulled by an incompetent dentist - very painful and it takes forever. GA is a lot easier and far more enjoyable.
Collaborations are a lot more fun than working solo: not only do you get the social aspect of things but one more pair of eyes on an article always helps. The big cheat for GAs is REFERENCE, REFERENCE, REFERENCE. GA reviewers are very keen on inline citations these days, and lots of them, preferably using footnotes. You really can get away with a lot prose-wise if you bury the article under a load of inline cits - obviously, though, your basic spelling and grammar have to be O.K. Check out Concerto delle donne - you can never have enough inline cits, and the citing format used there is exemplary as well.
What else? Well, everyone likes one or two pretty pictures with informative captions, and obviously the article has to be NPOV - due weight given and all that. You have to cover all the major aspects of a topic, and provide context for your subject - i.e tell everyone what importance the article has: it can't just refer to itself. Check out The Fairy-Queen for what I mean - the "Context and analysis" section is pretty useful. Your lead has to fit the crime - sorry, the article - per WP:LEAD. If you are planning to run for adminship any time within the next decade, then there's a whole lot more I could say, but for the moment I'll restrain myself to this article advice. If you want to talk about any of this, then leave a note on my talk page. Good luck! Cheers, Moreschi 18:24, 29 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Sandbox mfd - why?
Why are you nominating all the sandbox pages for deletion? You call yourself a member Esperanza and therefore dedicated to strengthening Wikipedia's sense of community, yet you are determined to destroy some of the main community activity pages where users can have fun and enjoy themselves. Stressed wikipedians are not effective. Please reconcider your stance on the mfd of the sandbox pages. Think outside the box 09:36, 8 November 2006 (UTC)
- I noticed this mass nomination too. I feel as though you have article standards confused with community pages standards. You might be better off writing an essay on your concerns and generating a bit of discussion. I personally think it's wonderful that wikipedia editors can get along and play games without affecting their sense of seriousness when it comes to editing the wiki. i kan reed 20:17, 10 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Reversion to 1984 United States Presidential election article
- I'm not 100 percent sure which of my edits you considered objectionable, but I presume that it was the one adding "quipped Reagan...". I don't consider this to be an objectionable edit, as it clearly indicates no bias in either direction, and it greatly adds context. The "I will not make age an issue..." quote was ambiguous and didn't indicate any context or who had mentioned the quote. It looks like you also reverted my first edit, in which I correctly added a space after Joseph Biden's name, so that it was consistent with the other names in the list. I don't consider either of these edits vandalism in any way. "Quipped" basically means "made a clever or witty remark", which Reagan's comment most certainly was, as some speculate it simply ended Mondale's chances entirely, and Reagan was known as "the great communicator" for similar quotes. I'm a credible member of wikipedia with a proven track record and well over 1500 edits, and have no previous vandalism warnings. I suggest restoring the article to my most recent version prior to your reversion, and then finding the word "getthem" and adding a space between "get" and "them", as per my most recent edit which was done after the reversion. If you still disagree with my edits, post another comment on my talk page, and we can figure this out. I think it should be pretty straightforward though. Davemcarlson 10:39, 9 December 2006 (UTC)
- P.S. Thanks for being bold, by the way, and for making me aware of the reversion. It's a lot easier to resolve conflicts that way. Davemcarlson 10:39, 9 December 2006 (UTC)
- Sorry, I misunderstood your addition, mainly because it appeared that the addition was in a very unusual place and quipped seems like an offensive word. I have now restored the text. Thanks for notifying me so soon. Lcarsdata 10:50, 9 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Admin coaching, etc.
Are you ready to get started?
The waiting time over at Admin coaching is long (some people have been waiting in line since July). I'm an admin coach with the project, and for my students I set up a group discussion page so that we could all learn from each other. The scope of this concept has expanded into the Virtual classroom, which is an open forum for the teaching and learning of advanced Wikipedia skills.
Anyone and everyone is welcome to participate, as a student, as a coach, or both. Every week or two a new major topic of discussion or classroom assignment is introduced, usually with a guest writer who presents his or her expertise on the current subject and who remains on hand to answer questions. Everyone is encouraged to participate in the discussions, such as sharing your expertise, asking and answering questions, etc.
The current topic of discussion is vandalism, and our guest writer is Budgiekiller.
All discussions are open-ended, so all previous discussion topics and classroom assignments are still there for viewing and further participation. There are also sections for posting miscellaneous topics and questions, requesting coaching assistance, etc.
In addition to inviting those who would like to learn, I routinely invite experts from all over Wikipedia to come and contribute for the benefit of all. The VC is rapidly turning into a clearing house of the best resources, methods, and techniques known for working on Wikipedia.
You are cordially invited to participate.
Here's an announcement box which you can place on your userpage or at the top of your talk page for keeping up to date with classroom assignments.
I hope to see you there. Sincerely, The Transhumanist 07:45, 12 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] How dare you
Consider what I did as vandalism. I love Peter Boyle! He was one of the greatest comedians ever! Revert it if you will, but dont dare send me a message. I feel horrible enough, I just found out he died. --71.224.19.29 17:06, 13 December 2006 (UTC)
- The talk page is somewhere to discuss the article, although I can understand that you are upset you are still obliged to follow the policy and guidelines set down by the community. As the above Kotjze said, if you want to make comments like this use something such as Uncyclopedia - alternatively I recommend you set up a free web page or blog to express your thoughts and say what you want about Peter Boyle. Sorry for any offense caused by reverting the edit. Lcarsdata 17:14, 13 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Concordia Newsletter
Concordia is currently trying to relaunch. I, and all the members of the ex-council, wish to welcome new members to the group. We are a group who aim to promote remaining civil, in an environment where messages can easily be interpretated wrongly.
[edit] Help out now!
- Try and help people remain civil! Talk to them, and help them in any way possible. Do not be afraid to use the talk page.
- Give people the Civility Barnstar.
- Make and spread some Wikitokens so people know there are people to help if they want assistance.
- Add banners or logos to your userpage to show your support.
- Suggest some ideas! Add 'em to the talk page.
We are a community, so can only work though community contributions and support. It's the helping that counts.
[edit] Decision Making
The council expired one month ago, but due to the current position of the group the current council will remain until the position of the group can be assessed, and whether it would be sensible to keep Concordia going. For most decisions, however, it will be decided by all who choose to partake in discussions. I am trying to relaunch because of the vast amounts of new members we have received, demonstrating that the aims are supported.
If you wish to opt of of further talk-page communications, just let us know here.

- I'm afraid it was vandalism, the comment was incomprehensable... and what is 'My Verison' anyway? Lcarsdata 19:38, 15 December 2006 (UTC)
- Oh, and it isn't a free country - on Wikipedia you have two and only two rights: the right to leave and the right to fork. Lcarsdata 20:26, 16 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Leaving?
Are you leaving Wikipedia permenently? Or something? --Yancyfry 23:15, 15 December 2006 (UTC)
- You see, what happened is I got annoyed and left Wikipedia and the User:Michaelas10 managed to convince me to come back so I am now back. Very permanent I know. Lcarsdata 08:17, 16 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Explanation of (re)reversion
I have reverted your revert of George Schattler as the original version of it [1], is very noticeably similar to this dude's IMdB bio. While it could be possible the anon who contributed it also wrote the IMdB bio, there's also a strong risk that s/he just swiped it and made a few changes before posting it here. 68.39.174.238 20:43, 16 December 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks for your explanation of what yoy have done. I understand. Lcarsdata 20:45, 16 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Edit summaries?
When did I not use edit summaries? I admit alot of them are lame, but they're all there... 68.39.174.238 20:51, 16 December 2006 (UTC)
- Sorry, Lcarsdata 20:53, 16 December 2006 (UTC)

i've just read yur xplantion. when i said verson was 'bout game version, if it's diamon or perl. and watt'i know is dat vandalising is in articles, not in talk pag.s —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 200.153.54.125 (talk • contribs).
- Vandalism can be on talk pages too, in fact it can be on any page. Lcarsdata 21:31, 16 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] sorry
let's stop with fighting right? i've seen yur reply in yar talk page. but a comment: im not a vandaliser. i have coz its an IP. im gonna create an account 4 avoiding such confusions. as ya can see, ive already created useful articles.
i bcame angry mainly coz i thought it was a prejudice against hispanic, that dozens of american have —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 200.153.54.125 (talk • contribs).
- I am sorry, I do not know what 'hispanic' is so could not have been prejudice against it. Also please note you can't have created any articles as IP's cannot. I think it would be a good idea for you to register as it would help you establish a reputation and all the bad things you have done will be untraceable to you. Sorry for any offense I may or may not have caused you and thanks for appoligising too. Lcarsdata 21:49, 16 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] wtf????
y did u tell me to stop vandalising the sandbox, and tell me to go to the sandbox to experiment? WTF????? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 74.37.205.135 (talk • contribs).
- Sorry, I made a mistake because the software I am using (WP:VPRF) flags up the sanbox even though you would expect vandalism there. Lcarsdata 20:16, 18 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Vandalism on University of Bedfordshire
Hi,

- No problem. Lcarsdata 10:40, 1 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:Timelike Infinity Stephen Baxter.JPG)
Thanks for uploading Image:Timelike Infinity Stephen Baxter.JPG. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. [edit] Hi
Hi,
Are you still looking after the Bedfordshire project, as if not it might be time to shut this down as im not sure anyone is really running with this.
Im going to try and get things running again, do you still want to be involved?
Also it might be time to archive your talk page as its getting huge!!!--GazMan7 15:50, 20 March 2007 (UTC)
- I am not really interested in keeping it going, so by all means take over. I am a bit busy doing other things so do not really have much time to do things on Wikipedia at the moment. Thanks for the message. Lcarsdata 13:18, 24 March 2007 (UTC)
