Talk:LAX (group)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This article was deleted 30 January & again 14 February.

Why was it deleted ?

I see no evidence that the band is any more notabloe now than then.

Actually this group is getting heavy airplay (on pop radio) in the U.S. with their hit "Forget You". The peacock terms may need a little editing, but I'll leave it to someone else. Still, this article should not be deleted. In fact, I'm surprised that it did on those two recent dates. Drdr1989 02:19, 22 February 2007 (UTC)

When you say "heavy airplay" , do you have any evidence to back that up ?

[edit] Major Cleanup Needed.

I have begun to clean this article up. I am beginning to remove the "peacock words." Acalamari 03:00, 22 February 2007 (UTC)

No need to delete this article, even I've heard of the group, and I loathe hyper-produced music. It simply needs to be written to Wikipedia standards. KP Botany 19:36, 23 February 2007 (UTC)
Acalamari, there is some more usable information on-line that can enhance this a bit. Have at it. KP Botany 19:50, 23 February 2007 (UTC)
Thanks for your work on the article. I'll see if I can find some sources soon; unless, of course, someone finds them first. Acalamari 21:38, 23 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Band member biographies

If it is not clear whether LAX_(group) is notable or not, shouldn't the individual members, who are "notable" only for being members of the group, have their biographies included as sections in the LAX article? I suggest that the entries for Brianna Cara and Cristina Ballestero should be merged into this article. Respectfully, SamBlob 11:13, 9 March 2007 (UTC)

I am with you on that. I will do it if no one objects. --Daniel J. Leivick 16:21, 9 March 2007 (UTC)
Yes, please feel free with merging. I considered it initially, but am rather unsavvy with moves/merges/etc., and will probably never get savvy enough. The group is notable enough right now to merit an article. I've heard about them recently, after editing this, on the local pop station. Not sure if they were playint their song or not. Still, the individual member pages have very little information, but I don't have merge/move savvy. Please do so, and I will edit as necessary or someone else will. Thanks.
