Lawson Software PKH NASDAQ: LWSN is an international provider of enterprise resource planning (ERP) software. While the company is consistently ranked in the top five of ERP vendors, they are generally a second tier provider overall.1 Lawson is considered the leader in certain sub-markets, principally service industries such as healthcare, education and financial institutions.

According to Computerworld magazine, Lawson was the first ERP vendor to deliver a web-deployable software application.[citation needed]

Lawson Software was founded in 1975 by brothers Richard and Bill Lawson. The company is based in St. Paul, Minnesota. In the fiscal year ending in May 2006, it reported total revenues of $390 million USD.
