Lawrence Mullan
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Lawrence Mullan is a former footballer who played for Coolagh Celtic, Glentoran F.C. and Lisahally F.C. and brother of Gerry Mullan.
Lawrence was born in Limavady and played locally for Coolagh Celtic alongside side his sisters. It was at Coolagh that Lawrence and his brother Gerry caught the eyes of no scouts at all. Lawrence was snapped up by Gransha F.C. as a header and spent two years locked up there, hurting only 6 nurses. Lawrence then moved to Strathfoyle and joined Lisahally F.C. Lawrence is fondly remembered by Lisahally fans as "Finbar Whoriskey" due to his love affair with Finbar while in Gransha & because he was always tapping for 10 pence pieces. Lawrence's & Finbar's son, Conor, is also a header.
