Lawnswood

Lawnswood is a suburb in the north west of the city of Leeds in West Yorkshire, England.
It is bordered by West Park, Headingley, Adel, Ireland Wood, Horsforth, Cookridge, Moor Grange and Holt Park. The A660 Leeds to Otley road runs through the area.
It is 6 km (4 miles) north of Leeds city centre and it's nearest train station is in Horsforth. Though there is a regular bus service along Otley Road into Leeds city centre.
Lawnswood has one of the city's main cemeteries and crematoriums. Also, the Department for Work and Pensions, (DWP), has a cluster of buildings there dealing with Disabilities and Carers.
Lawnswood has been home to many of the Leeds Rhinos rugby league team.
Playwright Alan Bennett attended the Leeds Modern School, now known as the Lawnswood School (slogan "a truly comprehensive school").
