Law, South Lanarkshire

Law is a village situated between Carluke and Wishaw in South Lanarkshire, Scotland with a population of 2,883.


An ex-mining village, Law is now mostly residential and has services mostly related to serving the community, such as a community centre called the Tom Craig Centre, a primary school, a Spar grocers and many smaller shops including an Indian take-away, a chippie, and a Post Office. Law is also home to Irvine's Coaches which serves the surrounding areas of Wishaw, Carluke and other parts of Lanarkshire. The Argyle Railway Line from Lanark runs through the Village but the station was closed down several years ago. However it is possible may be reopened in the future.
