[edit] Errm, thanks
. . . for the reminder. I'll take care of it. I only created the dab a couple hours ago or so, then got bogged down with work . . . don't worry, we'll get there eventually ;) · j e r s y k o talk · 21:41, 23 January 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for warning him again. I think he's going to get himself banned -not just blocked- very soon unless he starts behaving. --Asteriontalk 00:50, 30 January 2007 (UTC)
- I originally tried to gauge how serious he was in editing here but to me based on his (lack of) response and his contribs it's most likely a single purpose account used strictly for just for trolling/vandalism, and he has absolutely no desire to become a serious editor. The sooner he's gone the better for everyone, glad to see you're on top of the situation :) // Laughing Man 01:00, 30 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Entity flag
Yes, the link you found is the same article, except in English. If you read the last paragraph, there you will fin the information. (The very last one). Anyways, the decision was passed on January 27, 2007. However, media coverage came later... Thanks, Vseferović 01:14, 31 January 2007 (UTC)
- Of course I already found it in the press release, I sent you the link! ;) In any case, please let me know if you come across news articles as I would like to read about what the interpretations for what this actually means, as I am surprised there is still no mention in Western media yet (at least based on research I have been doing). Thanks for the reply. // Laughing Man 03:33, 31 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Question
Hello, since you were so helpful earlier, and I have no idea who to ask, I thought I'd turn to you. My question is: what are those numbers in parentheses in red and green on the "my watchlist" page? And why are some of them bold? What do the plus/minus symbols mean? Thanks for your time :) Stop The Lies 08:01, 31 January 2007 (UTC)Stop_The_Lies
[edit] incorrect revert
Kseferovic,
Regarding your revert in Flag of Republika Srpska, please double check what you are re-adding. The press release does not state anything about "nationalistic symbols" or "6 months starting from Jan 27", please point out where you getting this, as your are pointing to the last paragraph from the press release in your edit summary of the revert and I do not see it. For your convenience, I've posted the last paragraph below. Also in the future where possible, please use the official English version when citing this source (as it is available directly from the constitutional court) so other English speakers can verify this as well -- this is the en wiki after all ;). Thank you.
- Finally, the Constitutional Court adopted decision establishing that the Parliament of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and National Assembly of Republika Srpska failed to enforce the First Partial Decision of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, no. U 4/04 of 31 March 2006 establishing Articles 1 and 2 of the Law the Law on Coat of Arms and the Flag of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (Official Gazette of Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina nos. 21/96 and 26/96) and Articles 2 and 3 of the Constitutional Law on Flag, Coat of Arms and Anthem of the Republika Srpska (Official Gazette of Republika Srpska no. 19/92) as unconstitutional. Considering that that established inconformity was not corrected within a time limit of six months from the date of publishing this decision in the Official Gazette of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Constitutional Court established Articles 1 and 2 of the Law the Law on Coat of Arms and the Flag of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Articles 2 and 3 of the Constitutional Law on Flag, Coat of Arms and Anthem of the Republika Srpska shall cease to be in force as of the date this Ruling is published in Official Gazette of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Final text of the decision shall be verified at one of the following sessions of the Constitutional Court.

- Oh if that was your revert then I have misunderstood you. The previous decision dating back to March of 2006, stated 6 months. All that was stated in this one was that they are unconstitutional. I am saying that it does not matter if a new flag is designed in two days or 2 months, it is still unconstitutional and illegal. Therefore, we cannot use the current flag, etc. Thanks, Vseferović 18:33, 31 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Carpet Football
I wasnt aware of this deletion. As the creator of the page I would like to be advised of such thing. The term is used to describe south american style of football, tipically Brazil and Argentina, which, I dont know if you have ever seen a football match is very different of the european . You can find the term in english newspapers ! Jor70 22:59, 7 February 2007 (UTC)
- Please review the AfD discussion. Besides the standard AfD template that was placed on the page, it was also listed on WikiProject Football - Nominations for deletion. At this point I suggest first posting on WikiProject Football's talk page if wish to discuss it further with other members of the project, or if you feel very strongly that this was deleted in error, you can post on Wikipedia:Deletion review. Regards. // Laughing Man 23:17, 7 February 2007 (UTC)
- but do you recognize that there is another style of football played by the south american teams ? Jor70 23:24, 7 February 2007 (UTC)
- Yes, of course I recognize that there are many different tactics and styles of play that are used around the world. The article was not deleted because editors did not recognize that, it was deleted mainly per the content guideline described in WP:NEO. // Laughing Man 00:57, 8 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use images on user pages
I left out a bracket. However, proper following of fair use rationale is more important than userboxes of a user with 257 userspace edits and less than 20 edits outside of that. I'm sure you mean well. --ElaragirlTalk|Count 01:34, 8 February 2007 (UTC)
- Well, in that case, I'm sure he really cares alot about his user page and doesnt want it broken! ;) Thanks for fixing. // Laughing Man 01:40, 8 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] re: Nemanja Vidić
Fair enough - I thought the multiple ELs were redundant. Though if it's used in the article, shouldn't it be sourced inline where the information is cited? I notice there are lots of [citation needed] tags within the article, so you could kill two birds with one stone. Ytny (talk) 18:52, 8 February 2007 (UTC)
- I would have done it myself if I weren't planning to log off in a few minutes or if I actually knew more about Viddic. I definitely understand the reasoning for keeping the link in the EL list. Ytny (talk) 19:01, 8 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:Ana Ivanovic.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:Ana Ivanovic.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. - Speedy delete please -- we have replaced it with a free image from the commons in her article. Thanks. :) // Laughing Man 17:34, 15 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Yugo Films
Hello, me again :) But this time, I'm not a helpless wiki user (yay). If you're interested, you can help out with the List of Yugoslavian films article. It's definitely not a list of all our movies (because imdb has that) but a list of the more notable ones, the favourites, the acclaimed and award-winning ones etc. Also trying to leave out nationalistic propaganda movies (unless it's Yugo nationalism - like The Battle of Neretva, cuz that still unites us in a way heh). Anyway, if you can't think of any notable movies to add, you can create articles for the movies on there that have none yet, or the many actors that are article-less, or simply improve on what's there already. If you've got time, of course. :) Thx a lot! Maîtresse 01:27, 16 February 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks for the heads up. I don't think I can contribute much in terms of new content since I do not know much of the subject and have just recently starting watching the films recently myself, and becoming more and more interested, so this list will actually help me :) But time permitting, I can help with any "housekeeping", style, and simple updates if necessary though. Perhaps we should look at other similar lists, and consult with editors participating in WikiProject Films as it does seem be fairly active to get some more input if you think it makes sense this point.
- By the way, you have come a long way from when you started, and learn very quickly, I'm impressed! Keep up the great work! :) // Laughing Man 19:03, 16 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] RE: AF
Looks to me like a throwaway account, specifically for annoying. I'll have to disappoint you, that does not seem AF's style - he would've directly attacked me or laid siege to his traditional battlefields (Serbo-Croat & Italian Dalmatian history). This one just seems too far. --PaxEquilibrium 18:39, 16 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Straw poll on Srebrenica massacre
As a result of persistent edit warring on Srebrenica massacre, I have proposed that a straw poll be taken regarding one of the issues involved—namely, how to title the section currently named "Alternative views". This will help us to determine whether there is a consensus on what to title this section, or at least a consensus on what not to call it. The straw poll can be found at Talk:Srebrenica_massacre#Straw poll on "Alternative views" section. I have posted this announcement to each of the 19 users who have made multiple edits to Srebrenica massacre this year. —Psychonaut 13:48, 19 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Question #4857692847958...9
With regard to my user page... on my screen it shows up just as I want it to... where my 2x4 userboxes are nicely put to the left, leaving room for my remaining vertical row of 5 userboxes and my pictures to fit side by side. However, on other screens, my 2x4 of userboxes is too far to the right, leaving no room for my 5 userboxes and pushing them down, thereby screwing up my pretty userpage :( lol. Sooo I guess my Q is, is MY screen the odd one out? (It's pretty big, I have no idea what size or resolution but it's big...) Or should I spend less time worrying about my userpage and get a life... Basically, how do I fix this hehe? (Ps: Thanks so much for taking the time out of useful contribution to deal with my endless queries) :)Maîtresse 01:49, 20 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] User Category for Discussion
[edit] Note:
You said: "Note that continued personal attacks will lead to blocks for disruption".
And you please note that a "sorry" message necessarily involves discontinuation of "attack". An that a bombing of a country could be in no way a "personal attack". And that if it were, all voters of governments who in fact HAVE bombed Serbia should be blocked, not me. --Damifb 06:47, 1 March 2007 (UTC)
- Your comment is without a doubt a very offensive personal attack. I'm glad you came to your senses and removed it yourself (although it disturbs me further that you clarified here what you meant by "your country" and try justify this nonsense). // Laughing Man 22:10, 1 March 2007 (UTC)

- Hi again. I know the following is not a valid explanation, but I really did not think that something that sounded obviously ridiculous, and therefore like a joke, in Argentina, can be a painfull memory in Serbia. By "your country" I meant any place, but then I checked out and saw with dismay that the fellow was a Serbian. But I don't think I tried to justify it, in fact I said I was sorry before any of you wrote to me.--Damifb 11:34, 2 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] MLS Team
The problem was you expanded the logos to 150px when they're only 120px gif images. They became pixelated as a result. Gateman1997 21:45, 16 March 2007 (UTC)
- Really, this one looked much better Image:NewYorkRedBulls.gif. Maybe would make more sense to get slightly higher resolution than 120x120. Many other football articles logos user higher resolution, for example: Image:Manchester United FC.png // Laughing Man 02:55, 22 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Images from commons
Hi. It's not necessiasary to upload images from commons, especially to just reduce the image size. You can use the image with the filename as on commons like it was already uploaded here! That's the power of commons. I've replaced two uses that you've done this, one was to Nemanja Vidić. If you have done this to others, please remove the Wikipedia image and use the commons image. You can then mark the Wikipedia images with {{NowCommons}}. Thanks for understanding. --MECU≈talk 00:43, 22 March 2007 (UTC)
- The image is not available as a bit-for-bit identical copy on the Wikimedia Commons. // Laughing Man 02:47, 22 March 2007 (UTC)
I think it is clear from the image above, if still you object, I propose updating the mid-resolution cc-licensed images instead of the poor quality "high-resolution" images that are currently on the Commons. // Laughing Man 03:07, 22 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Confused over Random Threat
What the heck are you talking about? What does this message mean? (Please stop. If you continue to vandalize pages, as you did to Nikola Tesla, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. // Laughing Man 21:17, 9 January 2007 (UTC)) Who are you? What gives you the right to decide what is vandalism? How can you ban me? Why have you even messaged me about some small change I made a while ago when you could have just changed the page to suit your needs? Why do you care so much about the tesla page?
Perhaps all these questions should be answered before you make random unfounded accusations to people about vandalism?—The preceding unsigned comment was added by Mtw416 (talk • contribs) 02:39, April 7, 2007.
- Based upon the fact that your second contribution here was removing content from the Nikola Tesla article, I wanted to make clear what would happen if you continue editing in this manner. Please be more careful when editing articles and do not remove content from Wikipedia without a good reason, which should be specified in the edit summary. Also, in case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when.
