I have been editing on Wikipedia since August 2004, when I first discovered its sad lack of detailed optics topics. I'm a native Texan and an alumna of The Hockaday School and Harvey Mudd College, and I've briefly studied at the Uni Heidelberg. I'm currently a retired graduate student in physics. I have an Australian Shepherd named Higgs, who is quite a champion grumbler.

My favorite rule on Wikipedia is ignore all rules. Just remember that we're writing an encyclopedia, and everything follows from there. Now these tools are interesting.
