Laurent Batlles (born 23 September 1975 in Nantes, France) is a French footballer who plays for Toulouse FC. Batlles's first senior match was for Toulouse against Olympique Lyonnais.

[edit] Life with Toulouse
In 1993/94, Batlles emerged from the academy into the Toulouse senior squad. Against Lyon in 2nd April 1994, Laurent played his first senior game for Toulouse FC, just before the 1994 FIFA World Cup which France didn't make. Lyon won the game 1-0. In 1999, Batlles joined Girondins de Bordeaux after scoring 10 goals in 154 games.

After a move to Bordeaux, Batlles played exactly half of the 1999 and 2000 season and played eight games in Bordeaux's Champions League campaign scoring one goal. The following season he scored three goals in 32 appearances. He then played 19 games for Le Girondins and 6 in the UEFA Cup before completing the 2001/02 season with Stade Rennais (Rennes) where he scored 2 goals in 13 games. 15 games later he joined SC Bastia.

In January, Batlles began life in Corsica with SC Bastia. He played in the remaining 19 games for the Corsicans, but failed to score. He then starred for them in the first 19 games of the 2003/04 before joining Olympique de Marseille.

In one and a half seasons with Marseille, Batlles scored three goals in 15 games and played in Marseille's eight UEFA Cup matches which included the final which they lost 2-0 to Valencia CF. The following season he scored eight goals in 30 matches. He then joined Toulouse FC before returning for four games.

In 2005, Batlles rejoined Toulouse on loan initially but returned to Marseille after scoring three goals in 31 games. He joined permanently in 2006 after a successful loan spell which included a valiant performance for Toulouse against Lyon in an unfortunate and undeserved 1-0 defeat. He has scored two goals in six games.
