Laurence Street

The Honourable Sir Laurence Whistler Street (KCMG, K.St.J.) was an Australian judge serving on the Supreme Court of New South Wales in New South Wales (NSW).
Street attended the Cranbook School in Sydney. After a stint in the navy, he studied law at the University of Sydney. He was appointed judge of the New South Wales Supreme Court in 1965 and became Chief Justice in 1974. Both his father and grandfather had been Chief Justices of the NSW Supreme Court.
