Lauren Passarelli

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Lauren Passarelli (born on February 1, 1960 in Teaneck, New Jersey) was the first woman to graduate from Berklee College of Music as a guitar Performance major; and in 1984, only two years after graduating, she became the first woman appointed to Berklee's Guitar Department faculty.

Today, Passarelli is an associate professor at Berklee, the founder of Feather Records, and the lead guitarist for Two Tru (a pop group) and All Together Now (a Beatles tribute band). She is also an endorser of Soundwave Research and ADK microphones.

Passarelli attended Berklee concurrently with Melissa Etheridge. The two were classmates and friends.
