Lauren Jones

Lauren Jones is an American film and television actress, magazine cover model, and famed bikini model. Jones, who is known for her versatility and character range, transforming from brassy comedy to moving pathos, is also an internationally recognized personality, having appeared in several high profile advertising campaigns and numerous men's magazines.

[edit] Early life

After winning a national modeling contest for Seventeen Magazine in New York City, Lauren Jones appeared on Live! With Regis and Kathie Lee at seventeen years old. As a teen model she was encouraged to pursue an acting and modeling career. Jones is a former homecoming queen, cheerleader, and Miss New York USA beauty queen finalist. Lauren Jones currently owns and operates Lorraine Model and Talent Agency and continues to pursue a career as a model and actress.

Noticing her talent at a young age, Lauren Jones' mother place her in a prestigeous acting school in New York, where she was accepted into a small program and seen by NYC agents. She continued to act and in 2005, appeared in her first feature film role, Spiderman 3. Jones has previously appeared in films shown at the Sundance Film Festival and in other independent films.

Jones has formerly appeared on the soap opera Guiding Light and has recently wrapped production on the Nickelodeon show "The Naked Brother's Band [1]" . Jones has also appeared as a bikini model on MTV2's Wondershowzen.

Lauren Jones was recently cast as one of the new Barker's Beauties on The Price is Right. Jones is currently filming, with her first show set to air April 17th, 2007.

Jones recently signed an endorsement contract with Met-RX as "Miss MET-Rx 2007" and will represent the brand. Jones is also a MET-Rx calendar girl. Jones will be featured in the 2007 Met-RX calendar, and be involved in publicity events.

Jones appeared in the June 2005 issue of Maxim and has also popped up in Fortune, Seventeen, Best Body, Dubb, Sync, and Men's Health, as well as on the covers of Sound & Vision, Natural Bodybuilding,The New York Sportscene and the extreme sports magazine AXL.

Modeling for Axe, Burger King and Coppertone campaigns, she has recently worked alongside blue-collar comedian Jeff Foxworthy for the 2006 CMT Music Awards in promo spots and commercials nationwide.

Lauren Jones was crowned Miss Cracked 2006 as a spokesmodel and brand representative for the humor magazine Cracked Entertainment, and has recently worked with several photographers, including Fadil Berisha and Kareem Black.

[edit] World Wrestling Entertainment

Some know Jones as a pro athlete, working for World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) on its SmackDown! brand as a wrestler and scripted Smackdown diva. Jones quickly gained notoriety with her famous online ring entrance through her WWE debut [2].She was hired after appearing on the cover of the October 2004 issue of SmackDown! magazine with superstar Big Show, where she made such an impression on talent relations they hired her immediately. She was subsequently asked to join the company in their global travels and TV appearances and went on to prove her athletic ability in the ring. While on the road with WWE, Jones was trained by official WWE trainers, along with Hiroko (Professional Japanese wrestler), and French wrestler Rene Dupree.

Jones appeared on the show weekly and competed in SmackDown!'s "Rookie Diva of 2005" contest at No Way Out. She remained with SmackDown! during Wrestlemania 21 with the likes of Stacy Keibler and Hulk Hogan and for months following until leaving the company in July 2005 for career related reasons.
