Lauren Booth

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Lauren Booth (born Sarah Booth July 22, 1967) is a British journalist.

She is a half-sister of Cherie Blair and the fifth daughter of the actor Tony Booth.

Booth's journalism credentials include the New Statesman and the Daily Mail. She is a vocal opponent of the war in Iraq and has publicly called for the resignation of her brother-in-law, prime minister Tony Blair.

In June 2000 she married British actor Craig Darby and the couple have since had three children together.

She appeared as a contestant on the ITV reality show I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here!, donating the money she raised to the Interpal charity.[1] Before the show had even started Booth hit the headlines after she had apparently rustled a few feathers with fellow contestant David Gest, although the pair quickly resolved their differences in the show. It was also announced on Saturday November 20, 2006 that Booth was writing a secret diary about her I'm A Celebrity adventures. She apparently visited the Bush Telegraph each day for 10 minutes to write down her thoughts on the other celebrities. On November 26, she became the 4th celebrity to be evicted from the jungle, having polled the fewest votes.
