There were a total of 6,626 students enrolled in the Lauderdale County School District during the 2005-2006 school year. The gender makeup of the district was 48% female and 52% male. The racial makeup of the district was 30% African American, 68% White, 1% Hispanic, 1% Asian and less than 1% Native American.[1]
