Hello, I'd like to ask you a question about the Pokémon article. Why do you feel The "unobtainable" Pokémon section belongs under the section "Codes and glitches"? I mean, how are they "glitches"? And I don't see how they're codes... Anyway, please respond soon. - Bulbaboy 21:57, 5 May 2004 (UTC)

WP:TFD decision was to delete the Template:Nintendochar template as it was far too large. It is also better to use categories in this instance.

[edit] Article Licensing

Hi, I've started a drive to get users to multi-license all of their contributions that they've made to either (1) all U.S. state, county, and city articles or (2) all articles, using the Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike (CC-by-sa) v1.0 and v2.0 Licenses or into the public domain if they prefer. The CC-by-sa license is a true free documentation license that is similar to Wikipedia's license, the GFDL, but it allows other projects, such as WikiTravel, to use our articles. Since you are among the top 1000 Wikipedians by edits, I was wondering if you would be willing to multi-license all of your contributions or at minimum those on the geographic articles. Over 90% of people asked have agreed. For More Information:

To allow us to track those users who muli-license their contributions, many users copy and paste the "DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual" template into their user page, but there are other options at Template messages/User namespace. The following examples could also copied and pasted into your user page:

Option 1
I agree to multi-license all my contributions, with the exception of my user pages, as described below:
DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual

OR

Option 2
I agree to multi-license all my contributions to any U.S. state, county, or city article as described below:
DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual

Or if you wanted to place your work into the public domain, you could replace "DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual" with "MultiLicensePD". If you only prefer using the GFDL, I would like to know that too. Please let me know what you think at my talk page. It's important to know either way so no one keeps asking. -- Ram-Man (comment| talk)

[edit] Mohonk Preserve and Mohonk Mountain House (Resort)

Since there is now an article on the Mohonk Mountain House I thought it would make sense to rename this article Mohonk Preserve. Since you've done the most recent work on it, I thought I should let you know. Mwanner 16:06, May 30, 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Sources for colours

When you create articles for colours, could you please include some justification? For example, where does Gray-Tea Green come from? I understand that a great many of these are Crayola colours, and as such would be perfectly fine. Unfortunately without anything to justify them, they just look like cruft and are liable to "deletionist attack". --Phil | Talk June 28, 2005 11:37 (UTC)

[edit] Hoboken

Just thought I'd let you know that I have merged the articles on Hoboken parks and landmarks into one huge umbrella article, Landmarks of Hoboken, New Jersey, since it looks like you're responsible for them. It is, of course, not an irreversible change, but it both gives the tiny articles on parks (which would likely be voted to merge or maybe even delete on VfD anyway) somewhere to go and looks impressive with all the pictures and descriptions together. I have not yet changed the template or the main Hoboken article, as I didn't want to create too much extra work to undo it if no one else liked the change, but I hope you do approve of it. Mindspillage (spill yours?) 30 June 2005 16:35 (UTC)

that changed the maps on U.S. regions articles. A lot of time, effort, and discussion went in to those maps and the defintions portrayed in them. If you have a problem with them direct it here. Thanks. -JCarriker 23:29, July 27, 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Image Tagging Image:Carolmarshelection.jpg

Warning sign
This media may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:Carolmarshelection.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is therefore unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the media on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then you can use GFDL-self to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media qualifies as fair use, please read fair use, and then use a tag such as article name or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other media, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Shyam (T/C) 16:19, 3 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] License tagging for Image:2004ElectionControversyMap.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:2004ElectionControversyMap.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

[edit] List of Nintendo characters

I've added the "prod" template to the article List of Nintendo characters, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Notability). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, or, if you disagree, discuss the issues raised at Talk:List of Nintendo characters. If you remove the dated prod template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. [edit] Image:Bungeeball.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Bungeeball.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:

 1. Go to the image description page and edit it to add Replaceable fair use disputed, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
 2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that any fair use images which are replaceable by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. -SCEhardT 04:54, 29 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:Mushroommario3.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:Mushroommario3.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not.
