Latrobe Country Club

Latrobe Country Club is a private golf club in Latrobe, Pennsylvania. It is the home course of Arnold Palmer. The course was founded and built in 1920 and 1921 as a 9 hole course. In 1926, Deacon Palmer (Arnold Palmer's father) became the grounds superintendent, and in 1931 he became the course professional. In 1963, work started on building the course into a full 18 holes. When it was completed, the course was 6,377 yards long and par was 72. Arnold and Deacon Palmer helped design the new course. In 1971, Arnold Palmer purchased the club. Since then, many holes have been redesigned and many of the club's facilities updated, as well as new ones being built.
