From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Latin Grammy Award for Album of the Year has been awarded every year since 2000. The award is presented to the artists, producers, the engineers and/or mixers and the mastering engineers.

Alejandro Sanz is biggest winner in this category, with 3 victories (2001, 2002 and 2004). Shakira became the first female winner in 2006.

Years reflect the year in which the Latin Grammy Awards were awarded, for music released in the previous year.
