Latha Rajendran

Latha Rajendran is an educationalist from Chennai. She is an alumnus of the Women's Christian College, University of Madras and Annamalai University. She is also the Secretary and Correspondent of Dr.MGR Janaki College of Arts and Science for Women. She is currently pursuing her research in Special Education from the University of Madras. She received the prize for the best teacher for the Hearing Impaired from the Government of Tamil Nadu in 1996. Latha is the niece of former chief minister of Tamil Nadu Janaki Ramachandran. She is an active rotarian and is involved with Rotary Dist 3230. She has travelled all around the world and has also received a certificate from the Gallaudet university. She is a member of the Alexander Nightangale Association of the teachers for the Hearing Impaired. She advocates the implememtation of The Person of Disabilties act 1997 enacted by the parliment of the Government of India. She is the Genereal Secterary of the National Convention of the Teachers of the Deaf in india. She was the principal of JRK Matriculation Higher Secondary School in chennai from 1984- 1991. She is a member of the Madras Management Association, Indo American Chamber of Commerce and Indo Canadian Chamber of Commerce. She is a great devotee of the Sathya Sai Baba. She is a member of the Amway network
