The Generic Array Logic (GAL) is direct replacement for most 20 and 24 pin PALs. Introduced by Lattice Semiconductor in 1985, this CMOS device was the first electrically erasable programmable logic device and is still being produced in 2006.
The devices shown are early engineering samples from 1985.
