[edit] Story
[edit] The Continent of Iris
From the beginning of time, there existed three worlds: the Land of Darkness ruled by the God Eres; the Land of Light ruled by the God Apollon; and Iris, the land of mortal races.
But the ambition of the God of Darkness is boundless. Eres descended upon Iris with his fearsome army, ravaging, raping and destroying this once peaceful land, intent on complete conquest. In the blackest of temples, Eres conjured his deathblow, a race of Titans to sweep in and destroy the mortals of Iris. The Titans were larger than any Human, and gifted with the Strength and Fortitude of a god. The mortal races were no match for the murderous forces of evil. Destruction and death spread like an uncontrollable plague.
Appollon, the God of Light, made plans to thwart Eres' evil plan, for he could not bear to see the extinction of the mortal races or the conquest of Iris by his archenemy. Seeing that Eres had created the Titans as mortals, Apollon gifted them with intelligence and self-awareness. They were no longer the blind killing machines Eres designed them to be, and once gifted with the knowledge of their own mortality they soon took up arms against their creator to fight with the other mortal races. An epic battle between Light and Darkness ensued.
For seven days, the Gods fought. At the end of the seventh day, they withdrew in stalemate, leaving behind destruction, anarchy and confusion.
[edit] Reign of Terror
Terror, ambition and chaos now reign over Iris. For without the Gods, the mortal races fought for control of this land. Power and conquest is the ultimate goal.
Titans versus Knights; Mages versus Healers; Rogues versus Sorcerors; friends become foes in a constant shifting of alliances. Greed and fear have sown the seeds of terror, with endless battles, bloody betrayals and insatiable ambitions. Iris had fallen under the Reign of Terror... the Race Wars had begun.
[edit] Character Classes
There are different type of classes you can play, maximum of four, and level up using stats point to change your character's stats. Each characters have different attributes which are attack, magic attack, defense magic, defense, HP and MP. Your characters can learn new skills as they progress through the game, but in order to obtain skill points, the new skills has to be learnt from the masters of you class (Rogue Master, Elf Healer Master, Mage Master, Titan Master, Knight Master and Sorceror Master). Around level 30 you can change you class into another subclasses from talking to your class masters. There are 6 classes of playable characters available to choose:
[edit] Titan
Titans are a strong class to play. They have a large amount of health along with a strong central attack. Titans have a number of buffs and passive skills to make them a formidable opponent. The only downfall to the titans their large appetite for potions. They require a large amount of potions to keep them up and running. Titans should be stated with Strength for health and attack power. Dexterity should be added for a faster attack speed. It makes no difference if you pick to be a sword wielding titan or a axe wielding titan; they are both balanced and have their strengths and weaknesses. Sword wielding titans have the bonus of having faster attack speed with a drawback of having a lower attack power then the axe wielding titans which are opposite of the sword having a larger attack and slower attack rate. The defense of a titan rivals that of knights at higher levels. At level thirty one the titans are able to choose from two classes, Highlander and War Master. Each class has its own special buffs and unique skills that allow them to defeat the enemy. Titans are a mighty class to play with and are very fun to play.
[edit] Knight
Knights have the highest defense, making them the “tanks” of Last Chaos. From a knight class you can choose to become a Temple Knight who has more defense and can use both a sword and a shield or you can choose Royal Knight who can wield dual swords but will have less defense but slightly higher attack power.
[edit] Rogue
Similar to thief class, this character have two optional choices of wielding two daggers to combat enemies or crossbow to fire enemies at longer range. Rogues have the fastest attack speed with an overall high attack power along with dexterity to lower the chances of being hit by enemies. At level 30 you can choose between Assassin class which are close range melee combats with very high physical attack and Hunter who uses a range attack, but lack some physical attack. Favorable stats in raising rogue are constitution and dexterity.
[edit] Healer
Known as high elf healer, they are similar to the Mage in that they also manipulate and use Mana to create healing magic instead of the more destructive magic that the Mages use. Because of their abilities to heal, as well as their lack of offensive and defensive abilities, High Elf Healers tend to travel with parties instead of alone. Other classes you can choose from are archer class and cleric class. The archer class focuses more on attack skills, while the cleric learns more healing spells.
[edit] Mage
Mages are a very versatile class that use magic power to create strong magical attack to hit their enemies with. Mages do a large amount of damage at one time because it hits regardless of physical defense. Mages are also notable for being the only class to have an area of effect skill to hit multiple enemies at one time. Generally mages put stats into their intelligence for magic attack, and mana, as well as constitution for health, and mana. Having full intelligence gives you a higher attack power but it is not recommended for lower levels. For beginning users it is best if they stat 2/3s constitution and 1/3 intelligence for faster leveling. The mages area of effect skill, when it’s strong enough can be used to kill multiple monsters easily for faster leveling. However mages have their downfall in their defense and health. Mages have one of the lowest hit points in the game and have low defense at lower levels. The two classes you can choose from is the wizard and witch.
[edit] Sorcerer
The sorcerer is a spellcaster class who can summon the spirits of the primal elements to aid him. Wielding scythes and fallarms imbued with the might of the elements, these sorcerers are formidable frontline fighters. A sorcerer has the option of advancing as a spiritualist or as a specialist: the spiritualists dedicate their magical talents to strengthening the summoned spirits, while the specialists take their talents one step further, transforming themselves to the avatars of the elements in the process.
[edit] Stat Types
When you level up, you will gain stat points which you can assign one stats points per stats:
- Strength – Increases Attack, and gives a small amount of Health and Mana
- Dexterity – Increases Attack Speed.
- Intelligence – Increases Mana, and Magic Attack
- Constitution – Increases your Maximum Health, and your Maximum Mana
[edit] PVP system
Last Chaos uses a PvP system in which players begin as innocent/neutral characters (indicated by white names) and can become good or evil characters (indicated by blue or red names respectively) based on who they choose to attack. A character's good/evil status is recorded using a simple point system. Attacking white or blue players will move a character in the evil direction (ie: the character will lose points) and attacking red players of equal or higher level will move a character in the good direction (ie: the character will gain points). Currently, there are considerable disadvantages and no real advantages associated with being an evil player. Evil players lose experience when they die, are open to attack from white and blue players without the risk of the attackers losing points, and suffer some stat penalties.
[edit] Pet system
There are two different types of pets you can obtain: a dragon and horse. To get these pets, you have to collect a drake egg or a pan flute from a monster drop. Visit Lorriane, she will give you a quest to deliver the item to archologist Jajan so that he can examine it, and a pet will appear. The pet is not just a pet, it can attack enemies after levelling up, but you have to visit the pet trainer to train the pet to attack. When your pet has grown to full size as a dragon or a horse, they can be mounted but in order to mount the pet, it will need to be trained by a Pet Trainer, however original skills will be lost in order to gain new skills, so that mounted pet can attack enemies.
Other types of pet can be obtained rather than having default pet dragon or pet horse.
Also, a pet can be sacrificed to gain dragon or horse parts. These can be made into extremely rare weapon and armor. The chances of getting a part when a pet is sacrificed is very slim, though.
