"Last Caress" is a song by the Misfits written by Glenn Danzig and released on Static Age. It is especially notable for its violent and shocking lyrics such as, "I've got something to say, I killed your baby today, and it doesn't mean that much to me, as long as it's dead." The song was later covered by Metallica with the song "Green Hell" off Garage Inc. and The $5.98 E.P.: Garage Days Re-Revisited. Punk rock band NOFX also covered "Last Caress" on their 2002 compilation 45 or 46 Songs That Weren't Good Enough to Go on Our Other Records. Others who have covered this song include AFI on Shut Your Mouth and Open Your Eyes, Ed Gein's Car, Eye Q, and as an acoustic song by Aerial M.
