Lasse Pirjetä

Lasse Pirjetä (born April 4, 1974 in Oulu, Finland) is a Finnish professional ice hockey forward. He was selected by the Columbus Blue Jackets as their fifth-round pick, #133 overall, in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft.

Pirjetä has represented several teams in the Finnish SM-liiga, Frölunda HC in the Swedish Elitserien and the Columbus Blue Jackets and Pittsburgh Penguins in the NHL.

After starting the 2005-06 NHL season with the Pittsburgh Penguins, he was sent down to the Penguins' AHL team, the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, and on January 20, Pirjetä returned to Europe to play for the Kloten Flyers in the Swiss Nationalliga A.
