Laser Clay Shooting System

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Laser Clay Shooting System was a light gun game created by Nintendo in 1973. Before Nintendo began making video games in 1977, they had developed a wide range of entertainment products including playing cards and other toys[1]. The game continued to lead Nintendo down the path toward more work in interactive electronics.

A home version, called Nintendo Duck Hunt, is made with the same technology. [2][3]

[edit] Trivia

  • In WarioWare: Smooth Moves, one of 9-Volt's micro-games is a virtual rendition of this toy where you use the Wii Remote to aim the virtual light gun. According to this game, it says that the Laser Clay Shooting System (used in the game) was introduced in 1977; it is possible this refer to the Nintendo Duck Hunt 1976 ver.
