The LaSalle Bank Chicago Marathon - A 30-year tradition has grown into one of the world's largest marathons, drawing more than 40,000 professional and amateur runners from Chicagoland and around the world. The LaSalle Bank Shamrock Shuffle, the largest 8k race in the world, takes place in Chicago's Grant Park. It offers competitive and organized events for runners of varying skill levels, from those who prefer a fitness-walk along the Lakefront to children who need to burn off some energy. The LaSalle Bank Open showcases both up-and-coming and seasoned PGA Tour players as part of the PGA's Nationwide Tour. Families, golf enthusiasts and novice golfers can see high quality, competitive and professional golf during the four-day, 72-hole tournament that takes place at The Glen Club in Glenview, Ill.
The Volvo Ocean Race - Team ABN AMRO - The Volvo Ocean Race began in Vigo, Spain and follows the traditional route of the old clipper ships, sailing around the world with the prevailing winds. A total of 31,000 nautical miles are traveled by the teams during nine ocean legs. In 2005, the bank entered two specially designed 70-foot racing yachts (Volvo Open 70) called ABN AMRO One and ABN AMRO Two in this very exciting race.
The LaSalle Bank Mural, covering three sides of a warehouse building, is adjacent to the Kennedy Expressway between Armitage and North Avenues in Chicago. It measures 8,600 square feet and is viewed by nearly 200,000 people each day. Throughout most of the year the mural features artwork from Gallery 37. LaSalle Bank and Gallery 37, two organizations committed to youth and cultural arts, have partnered to increase public support for Chicago's young artists.

The LaSalle Bank Do-It-Yourself Messiah - One of Chicago's most beloved holiday traditions for the last 27 years has brought over 7,000 participants from around the globe together for a free performance of George Frederic Handel's Messiah. The LaSalle Bank Do-It-Yourself Messiah is performed by four professional soloists and a full volunteer orchestra with the audience singing the chorus parts lead by an internationally renowned conductor.

The LaSalle Bank Dame Myra Hess Memorial Concerts - A critically acclaimed performance series organized by the International Music Foundation that showcases local, national and international young artists and up-and-coming-performers. Performances are presented free every Wednesday beginning at 12:15 p.m. at the Chicago Cultural Center, 78 E. Washington Street. All concerts are broadcast on WFMT-FM 98.7 and channel 25 TV.

The LaSalle Bank Winter WonderFest transforms Chicago's Navy Pier Festival Hall into a winter wonderland for children of all ages. It features hundreds of decorated trees, sparkling lights and wintertime decorations. Activities include an indoor ice skating rink, inline skate track and skateboarding park, 10 large-scale inflatable games, a bungee jump, a children's craft area, and a fun stage which features non-stop family entertainment and character appearances.
