LaraLove is the online alias of Lara Taylor. Lara was born in Winston-Salem, North Carolina on August 16, 1982. After graduating high school, she joined the United States Air Force and became a Personnelist. While stationed at Goodfellow AFB in San Angelo, Texas, Lara met the man that would eventually be her husband. Just 12 days after September 11, 2001, she and Chris were married. On February 1, 2002, they welcomed their first child into the world; a daughter, Laila Renee. Late October of 2002, the family moved back to Lara's hometown, living in an apartment until December of 2004 when they purchased their first house, which is where they live today. On March 2, 2006, they welcomed their second child into the world; a son, Jason Gage.

[edit] Employment

[edit] Wal-Mart

Lara works in the electronics department at one of three local Wal-Marts. She has been with the company since April 2003. During those years, she has worked as a front-end cashier, customer service, layaway, photo lab, jewelry, electronics, and remodel associate. She is a licensed scissor lift operator and able to assist customers by mixing paint and cutting keys.

She also claims, although it has not been proven, that she can sell an LCD TV to a blind man. And, during her 2007 annual evaluation, she described herself as "the master of all that is awesome in the universe." In response, one of her managers has said, "When you wake up in the morning, you stand and piss excellence." So true... except the standing part. She sits.

[edit] Related Information

  • Not all Wal-Mart associates are morons.
  • iPods are a waste of money. MP3 players are a better value. For the same price, you can get more songs and better features.
  • ilo and Durabrand are Wal-Mart house brands and, therefore, should be avoided at all costs... literally. You get what you pay for.
  • LCD > Plasma unless you're going over 42".
  • Wii > X-Box 360 > PS3.
  • AMD > Intel.

[edit] Golden Corral

Lara also works as a server at her local Golden Corral, a buffet-style restaurant that serves a wide variety of homestyle foods. She only started working at this job in March 2007 and, because her workdays here are her regular days off from Wal-Mart, she's currently working seven days a week.

[edit] Interests

In addition to spending time with family and friends, Lara enjoys the following during her spare time:

[edit] Reading

Along with reading articles online relating to various electronic products and their manufacturers, Lara also enjoys Nicholas Sparks novels, the Left Behind series, Biographies and Political books.

[edit] Television

As a reality television junkie, Lara devotes more time than necessary to watching TV, especially the popular shows on MTV, VH1 and Food Network as well as entertainment news shows. Some of her favorite shows are The Young & The Restless, Dexter on Showtime (argued by Lara to be the Best Show Ever!), Survivor, House, Shark, CSI, Lost, Big Brother, The Daily Show, The Colbert Report, The Real Housewives of Orange County, America's Next Top Model, Top Chef, Top Design, and So You Think You Can Dance. - Note that she doesn't watch all of these shows on a regular basis.

[edit] Music

Lara loves music from many different genres. Unfortunately, as of this publishing, her daughter broke the headphones of her MP3 player so Lara is left without. Bad news aside, some of Lara's favorite bands & musical artists are Fall Out Boy, My Chemical Romance, Maroon 5, John Mayer, Howie Day, Keane, The Fray, Christina Aguilera, Justin Timberlake, Fergie, Black Eyed Peas, Shinedown, Bloodhound Gang, Linkin Park, Greenday, Nora Jones, Sarah McLachlin, and Billy Joel.

[edit] Gaming

One week after the release, Lara snagged a Wii. The family enjoys Wii Sports, Need For Speed: Carbon, and Madden 2007. No one can beat Laila at Wii boxing and she had the highest bowling score for the longest time. Chris has managed to achieve Pro status at golfing and bowling. Lara has achieved Pro status in bowling only. In Carbon, Chris has completed the game and has restarted his career. Lara has only the final Boss race to complete, but it doesn't appear she's going to win anytime soon. And last, but not least, in Madden, Chris has won several Super Bowls with his team, The Washington Redskins.

Lara also enjoys computer games. Among her favorites are Counter-Strike: Source, The Sims, Civilization III, Backgammon, Rummy, Spider Solitaire, and Freecell.

Lara enjoys browsing the web for new knowledge and spreading knowledge by answering questions on sites like Yahoo! Answers. She also stays connected with friends on MySpace and as a member of forum communities.
