Larry Brown (sports broadcaster)

Larry Brown is an American multi-media sports journalist living in Los Angeles. Best known for his on-air work on the national Fox Sports Radio network, Brown is the editor-in-chief of larrybrownsports.com. Brown also is a contributer to the sportsbook website NBX. He also fills in on occasion as the telephone screener on The Jim Rome Show.

Brown attended Grant High School in the San Fernando Valley, where he played baseball. Though two years behind him in school, Brown was acquainted with future basketball star Gilbert Arenas. A pitcher for Grant, Brown was the self-proclaimed “best junk-baller in the Valley”.

Brown attended UCLA, where he flourished as a student broadcaster. He earned an internship at FSR which led directly to his employment there. While at UCLA, Brown was instilled with a deep dislike for USC.

Brown currently provides sports updates during Ben Maller's Friday night show. Additionally, Brown is a featured contributor to NBX. He has previously provided play-by-play for UCLA baseball, football, and basketball.

Brown is a producer and on-air contributor to Bruce Jacobs' Saturday evening program on FSR. Additionally, Brown has produced, at one time or another, nearly every show on Fox Sports Radio. Brown has received significant on-air attention from Jim Rome and Rome's fill-in hosts while working on The Jim Rome Show. Andrew Siciliano, a frequent fill-in for Rome, often claims Brown will "someday run this company", referring to FSR's parent company Premiere Radio Networks.
