Thank you for the barnstar award. It is nice to be noticed. Mkdw 01:45, 1 November 2006 (UTC)

Thank you for pointing out those welcome templates. Thank you.--Jisha C J 05:10, 8 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Thanks
P.B. Pilhet / Talk has smiled at you! Smiles promote WikiLove and hopefully this one has made your day better. Spread the WikiLove by smiling to someone else, whether it be someone you have had disagreements with in the past or a good friend. Smile to others by adding {{subst:smile}}, {{subst:smile2}} or {{subst:smile3}} to their talk page with a friendly message. Happy editing!
Thanks for the reminder about the templates. I usually do substitute them; huh, I guess I just forgot somewhere, then :-)
Happy editing!
[edit] Your User Page
I did not personally attack you. I saw that your page had been vandalized so I reverted it. I must of reverted it back to a version where someone else personally attacked you. Sorry about the mistake.--Sir james paul 21:04, 15 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] sorry about that
Thanks for your note. I posted something in the nomination apologizing for the misapprehension. I might encourage you guys to do more to differentiate your user pages so that presumption doesn't happen with other folks, since anyone else doing a check might come to the same conclusion I did. Let me know if you decide to take the nomination to appeal. Thanks again!--Mike Selinker 01:31, 16 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] An award for you!
[edit] Reverting vandalism on my user page
Hey, thanks for reverting that vandalism. It's much appreciated! --Brad Beattie (talk) 22:08, 3 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] BC WikiProject Userbox has been made
Made a stab at a userbox; check 'er out: Template:User WikiProject British Columbia (use {{User WikiProject British Columbia}} ). Fudged around with the colours and borders for a while, tried to use colours taken from the dogwood but wound up blue-adjusting the background, not quite happy with the bkgnd colour but it's better than the grey-transparent on the Vancouver userbox. Trying to think which stubs are needed; I think one for mountain and moutain range stubs (there'll be hundreds of these...), though the dogwood won't do for that; could use it for parks stubs, though, no? There's already a protected area stub that has a thing from the US Southwest on it; might as well replace it with the dogwood (d'ya like the dogwood? It's from Wikimedia Commons...I thumbed it down though). Trying to remember which other stubs are needed....bio-stub I guess for biographies, I'm thinking one for communities/settlements, have to think what else. Suggestions?Skookum1 02:21, 5 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Bornmann wasn't among those charged!
I reverted your most recent edit to Erik Bornmann. Part of the whole tale of this scandal is that Bornmann wasn't charged, after turning "state's evidence" (to use the American phrase). I'm waiting to see if "those guys" try to change back your additions/enhancements - I think they're wary of offending the AFD process by edit-warring again; we'll see.....I'm drafting sandbox versions of this article, and a Dave Basi article, and intend on getting the finished product done in combination with other BC editors, then getting a Protection template slapped on it so only admins can make changes...same with BC Legislature Raids...email me if you want and I'll give you the sandbox link.....damn I think my power might go out, lights just flickered....g'night, better send this before the power crashes.....Skookum1 09:24, 6 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Non sense?
You asked to stop adding non-sense to wikipedia? can you please provide what this supposed "non-sense" i added is? --Duhon January 14th,2007
- To Duhon: This pertains to the discussion at Hollywood North, and is another example of the manner in which this editor is behaving. --Ckatzchatspy 01:45, 15 January 2007 (UTC)
To "Langara College": I will certainly participate in an RfM, if need be, but be advised that I do not take kindly to your actions in this matter. Without any pause for discussion whatsoever, you jumped into the fray and began leaving "WARNING" messages on my page and on those of other users. This is not the appropriate manner in which to achieve consensus, and I think that an RfM would indeed highlight that fact. --Ckatzchatspy 01:45, 15 January 2007 (UTC)

- Thank you for your message on my talk page. I regret to inform you that I have declined your request for mediation. All the steps have not been attempted that preceed a mediation and also no one is not willing to discuss these problems on the Talk: Hollywood North. Mkdwtalk 23:07, 15 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] The Kingpins
Langara College: I guess you could delete it ( The Kingpins page), if you think it may not be important enough to keep. I just saw it in the Requested articles list and I decided to do a little research on the band. However, they have made about four albums and some compilations, and they have done recent shows, but then again, i guess Mr.Joe Shmo from Nowhere county could also make an album and a website. So, yeah, maybe it should be deleted. G man yo 22:11, 17 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] The Cat and the Canary
I have not vandalized this article. There is nothing missing from the references in the Notes section: in the original version before cite templates were added, notes 17, 31, 32, 34, and 36 appear to be missing information, but they are not. These sources have already been referenced in the article (notes 1, 16, 24, and 33), and therefore, according to the Chicago Manual of Style, do not repeat the full publication information as in the original note. All that is required is author's last name, brief title, and page number. In the version with cite templates, information is now needlessly repeated (see notes 1 & 17, 24 & 35), but using two different citation styles. Plus, some of the repeated references are STILL using the original Chicago Manual of Style abbreviated style. Dmoon1 00:02, 18 January 2007 (UTC)
- I wasn't taking sides, but the policy I cited indicated that if there is a difference in opinion about how to present a citation, there should be discussion. —Erik (talk • contrib) - 02:49, 18 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Hollywood/Runaway
User:Ckatz addressed a 'private' message to both you and me which can be found here. I don't know why he didn't forward it to you so I'll take that liberty myself. Mkdwtalk 22:34, 8 February 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks to Mkdw for doing that. However, it actually was sent here as well, to a similar sub-page. --Ckatzchatspy 00:36, 9 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Removing warnings is not vandalism
While there was a time this sort of behavior has been considered to be vandalism, removing warnings is no longer considered vandalism. Some sort of discussion happened, and now it is allowed. I have created a program that can create archives of any page based on the history, so you can look at this users archives here: User talk:HighInBC/Temporary page indexes/Donteatyellowsnow. [edit] H. North
In reply to your message on my talk page, I don't actually care about the H. North article. DEYS asked for some help regarding Skookum1 and Canadians. I will always get involved with anything that involves Skookum1, and due to his personal attacks on me, and others including Canadians, I will continue to fight against his bullying. If you see his actions here regarding others, you may understand why this is. I do not blindly support other users, as I hope you realize from what I added to the talk page. I did not say, hey you bastards stop attacking the Americans. I looked at the article, read some of the talk page and then made a comment about the Film Festivals, mainly because they tend to look like advertising for something the article really is not about going off the introductory info. Otherwise, everything looked sourced and legitmate. I think DEYS needs to calm down, but looking at your page here it looks like you need to do the same. Ultimately it is between BC & ON to decide who should be listed first on the page, but I think SF deserves some space in the page as it appears some sources do call it that.
Actually, ultimaetly as the Globe reader pointed out, it is rather silly anyone would want an article about them being a cheaper labor outsourcing unit. Canada is no different than India for IT support, or China for manufacturing, just a lower cost supplier of labor. And just like other places before, Vancouver and Toronto will eventually be usurped by another location, just as Portland and Seattle were for films, and the American South for textiles. Profits are the name of the game. Aboutmovies 07:24, 11 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Donteatyellowsnow on AN/I
Hi, Langara College, I thought I'd reply to you here since it's more personal. First I want to make sure you know it's not my 'decision' - maybe that comment wasn't directed at me, but it seemed to be since you indented under me. And as to the other things in your post, if you think more action should be taken v/v the user's other warnings, perhaps you should take it up with the other admins who warned the user. I don't pretend to be the final word on the topic (I'm not an admin), but if your thread isn't generating the kind of response you're hoping for, you will need to go to the specific editors who warned the user of greater consequences, and see that those consequences are meted out. Good luck! Anchoress 02:10, 12 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] PETHS School Crest
You requested a speedy deletion for Image:Trudeau_crest.jpg because the image was not found on the school's website. As mentioned in my talk:image:trudeau_crest.jpg message, Trudeau's website is outdated and the webmaster does not have a copy of the school crest to upload. I HAVE FULL PERMISSION FROM THE CREATOR TO UPLOAD THIS. I hope you can understand, thank you. Bobbio 733 00:26, 17 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Reuven Paz
Hi. I just wanted to say that I thought the article contained enough information already to make it clear that he is indeed a notable person. When you click on the links it becomes apparent that he is indeed notable and is considered an expert in those fields. Just look at the amount of court cases he has given expert testimony in. I am sorry I do not have the time to expand the article more right now to make it conform with what you said. However maybe somebody else can fulfill that role I don't know. [edit] Hey
I've posted a fun essay that you may find interesting to read: You know you're a Vancouverite when. Mkdwtalk 10:36, 20 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Reverts to the Maccha article
I would like to ask that if you disagree with my edits to the maccha article, that you constructively improve on them, rather than simply reverting them. As has been discussed on the article's talk page, the spelling section is too long. It contains information, some of which is misleading, some of which does not support a neutral point of view, and some of which is not particularly relevant to the topic of the article. I am going to revert the article to my latest edit. If you think there's anything missing from it, feel free to add to it, but please use discretion. Spacecat2 06:34, 27 February 2007 (UTC)
