I wasn't sure if adding an events section is considered a local-interest article. If it is, please tell me if it's acceptable or not. I would prefer being notified before it is deleted.

[edit] beaches?

River, I assume. -- Steven Fisher 16:08, 22 May 2006 (UTC)\
Apparently there are some in the Fort Langley area, near Derby on the riverfront. This calls for some in-field investigation though :p...--Keefer4 09:11, 1 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Township vs. District Municipality

I don't know what happened with that move, but here's the deal. It is a district municipality, but since it was a township first, it kept the title.

"Incorporated as a District Municipality 26 April 1873, called the Corporation of the Township of Langley. "Langley (Municipal District)" adopted in the 18th Report of the Geographic Board of Canada, 31 March 1924, p.357. Re-approved 11 February 1936 on 92G/2 as labelled on BC map 2B, 1914. A small portion on the western side of the District Municipality was re-incorporated as the City of Langley 15 March 1955." BCGNIS - TheMightyQuill 08:07, 21 February 2007 (UTC)
