Talk:Lancia Kappa

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Lancia Kappa was a good article candidate, but did not meet the good article criteria at the time. Once the objections listed below are addressed, the article can be renominated. You may also seek a review of the decision if you feel there was a mistake.

Date of review: 20 August 2006

This article failed good article nomination. Below are the reasons for this.

Fails 1(a): "it has compelling prose, and is readily comprehensible to non-specialist readers;"

The article has little prose and heavily reliant on lists. Perhaps parts of the engines section could be rewritten into prose reducing the number of bullet points.

Fails 2(a): "it provides references to any and all sources used for its material;"

Some of the dates in the model history section are lacking references, and sentences"It was Lancia's first coupé since 1984...and remains the last Lancia to feature this body style to this day." and "It is also worth noting that in Poland, where Fiat Auto is the biggest domestic car manufacturer" have no references.

Fails 3(a): "it addresses all major aspects of the topic (this requirement is slightly weaker than the "comprehensiveness" required by WP:FAC, and allows shorter articles and broad overviews of large topics to be listed);"

I feel that critical response should included in the article - how well it was recieved by the motoring press etc. Therefore is doesn't address all the major aspects of the topic.

Fails 6(a): "the images are tagged and have succinct and descriptive captions;"

Image:Norm 1 Kappa 1995 Eu.jpg, Image:Norm 3 Kappa 1995 Eu.jpg and Image:Norm 31 Kappa 1995 Eu.jpg do not provide the exact website address where they were found, and are lacking a full fair use rationale.

When these issues are addressed, the article can be resubmitted for consideration. Thanks for your work so far. Alexj2002 08:48, 20 August 2006 (UTC)
