Lannion (Breton: Lannuon) is a commune of the Côtes-d'Armor département, in Brittany, France.
Lannion is a sous-préfecture of Côtes-d'Armor, the capital of Trégor and the center of an agglomeration of almost 60,000 inhabitants. With the last census (1999), the municipal population of Lannion rises with 18,368 inhabitants (9007 men and 9361 women), the total population is of 19,351 inhabitants.
Lannion is one of the most famous cities in Brittany because of its place and history.

Lannion is a great telecommunications research center in France with several firms such as Alcatel, France Telecom and SAGEM operating there.

There are several good places to pass the night in Lannion. With a choice of 6/7 good bars and a host of restaurants with local and international cuisine, a cinema, a bowling alley, there is always something to do. Regular concerts are held in the town square during the summer months known as 'Les Tardives'.
