Lance H.K. Secretan was born (1939) in Amersham, United Kingdom. Secretan is perhaps best known for his pioneering work in leadership theory and how to inspire teams.

From 1967 to 1980 Secretan was the Managing Director of Manpower Limited, based in the UK, part of the global Manpower Inc.. (NYSE: MAN)

From 1980 to 1985, Secretan taught leadership at MacMaster and then York Universities in Canada.

Since 1985, Secretan has worked as an author, independent management consultant, and coach and keynote speaker.

Secretan holds a M.A. (magna cum laude) 1977 from the University of Southern California and he earned a PhD in International Relations from the London School of Economics in 1980.
