Lanark railway station is a railway station in Lanark, South Lanarkshire, Scotland. The station is managed by First ScotRail and is the southern terminus of the Argyle Line.

[edit] Services

Monday to Saturday, the station is served by two First Scotrail trains an hour: one per hour to Dalmuir via Shieldmuir, Motherwell, Bellshill, Glasgow Central Low Level and Yoker; the other train is for Milngavie via Holytown, Motherwell, Airbles, Blantyre and Glasgow Central Low Level.

On a Sunday, the station is served by one First ScotRail service an hour to Milngavie via Bellshill and Glasgow Central.

There are no southbound or eastbound services from this station, as it only has a northbound chord connecting it to the West Coast Main Line (WCML) at Lanark Junction. There have been calls for the southbound chord to be reconnected, to allow direct services from Lanark to Edinburgh.
