Lana Sands

Lana Sands (born July 14, 1971 in Virginia) was an American porn actress. She has also worked under the names Alina, Lana Starr, Lana Stone, Leisha Chang Mai, Makaya Leigh, Makayla, Makayla Leigh and Makayluh Leigh. Ethniticity has been questioned and has varied from source to source. Most web sites (particularly Video Team) have her listed as a mix of Thai and Irish though her features look African-American/Latino because of her redbone structure and very pronouced buttocks (more commonly known as Ghetto Booty).

A former stripper, she was turned on to the porn business by friend Domonique Simone. She began at age 21 in 1992 but often credits porn star Max Hardcore with making her the the star she was during the 90's. In an interview with Hustler Erotic Video Guide, Sands told them "The first thing I ever did was for Max Hardcore. When I told people what I did with him they said ‘God, he abused the fuck out of you!’ And I became confused. I didn’t think I liked it. Then I decided to hang in there for a while and I started to get better parts. The money improved. Max just got carried away. I wouldn’t be as nasty as I am if he hadn’t pushed me. He unlocked that inside of me."

During her career, Lana became known for anal, interracial, lesbian and ethnic-themed movies. She has worked with stars such as Sean Michaels, Mr. Marcus, Peter North, Kitty Yung as well as a slew of other stars. Her most popular movies were My Baby Got Back, Vol #3-9, Smooth As Silk, Anal Secrets, Booty Ho and Lana Exposed.

Her last appearance on film was in 2002 in the film Boxer which also starred Rocco Siffredi and Vince Voyeur. While it isn't known whether she's out of the business or not, she hasn't appeared in any known films since this one.
