The Barringer Meteor Crater from space. Image from NASA. Photo taken December 14, 1982 by the Landsat satellite.

The gully southwest of the crater is Canyon Diablo, which drains northward into the Little Colorado River and then to the Colorado River in the Grand Canyon. U.S. Interstate 40 can be seen running east-west across the top of the picture.
