Delta Force: Land Warrior is a first-person shooter video game. It is the third game in the Delta Force series produced by Novalogic, and a sequel to Delta Force 2. Land Warrior further expanded the story that follows the game by creating five types of players, each with a specialty.
The chronically poor artificial intelligence of the Delta Force games is evident in Land Warrior, with unrealistic bot behaviour a common occurrence.[1] Some enemies remain unaware of danger even when under fire, while others fail to respond to even close contact with the player; conversely, some non player characters exhibit impossibly good senses, noticing the player when it would normally be impossible to do so. These problems were alleviated in more recent games with the inclusion of multiplayer battles in Joint Operations: Typhoon Rising, although the AI itself remains poor.
Land Warrior features very few plants in its maps, as a result of technical limitations in both the game engine and the processing capabilities of computers at the time it was released.[citation needed] Instead of trees and other vegetation, the player must use comparatively simple objects such as buildings and terrain features for cover.
