Cockney, Estuary English, Brummie, Scouse, Geordie etc are not distinct languages. They are accents. The few number of localised words aren't enough to create different languages. 12:35, 6 September 2006 82.70.155.252
- This is quite correct - these are English dialects - the Cornish language has been recognised by the UK government as one of the official languages of the UK, under the Council of Europe's European Charter for Regional or Minority Languages. 81.78.176.204 12:03, 3 February 2007 (UTC)
