Lamya is a female R&B, electronic and dance music singer, born in Oman and raised in Kenya. A remix of her song "Empires" hit #1 on the Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart in 2002. She came to prominence in 1993 when she toured with Duran Duran on their Wedding Album tour. Her standout performance was the re-worked live version of their song "Come Undone".

Her canonical Library of Congress name is "Lamy, A." and is cataloged in many libraries under this.
